One good way I have found to search is use the google search. Put free republic first and then the headline but also keywords. It almost works every single time.

Google archives FR articles in a matter of minutes, maybe even seconds.

FR search does work but never comes up with a dup article but then I don't post many. One thing that confuses me is there is a character in the first place. I don't know if I am supposed to leave it there and put in my headline or other search criteria or back up and delete it. I've been just leaving it there.
