University Cuts Pledge of Allegiance from Veterans Day Chapel Because It Makes Some 'Uncomfortable'

What kind of an individual attends a service in honor of veterans an opposes saying the pledge of allegiance.

Same kind who goes into a Pizza Joint and demands they cater a gay wedding.

David McKenna, a former president of your university, who became head of my seminary years ago, was a good guy. However, he wasn’t strong at holding back Asbury’s slide toward the political left.

My sense is that our Methodist heritage as believers is going to be buried unless God intervenes.

The notion that it is impossible to demonstrate patriotic citizenship AND be a solid believer in Jesus is leftist claptrap.

I’m actually a nondenominational believer so all the Methodist teachings are new to me. It’s very different than what I’m used to.

How embarrassing for this university; more so for the patriotic students (or students with brains, in general).

So enough noise was made that the uni chaplain is reversing course? How sad that that’s what it took to come to the right decision. Gutless weiners.

He always brings some weird speakers to chapel. I went for the first few weeks until some female pastor with short sleeves and tattoos got up and started saying that it “makes sense” that people would be turned off from Christianity when they see Jesus next to a “fetus” on a billboard on the side of the road. Many of the staff are devout Christians and really nice people. That guy is iffy, though.

I revere every word of it and agree with every word.

Our forefathers and our brothers have died for what those words mean. They believe the Pledge. The flag identifies our country and words befitting that flag lives up to God and the nation we are under him.

I pledge my allegiance to all good ideas, I believe any republic represented by any flag, once they've become the enemies of the good, should cease. In that case we should divide. We in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, etc. should disassociate with the tyrants in Mass, Cali, Ill, etc. we are divisible. We dishonor God when we claim this Republic is under Him. We dishonor liberty and justice when we claim this Republic stands for it. The Republic that is under God and stands for liberty and justice died when the progressives took control. Then, they they blew patriotic smoke up our butts to keep us from resisting.

Chaplain Bo Lim said "some people would be uncomfortable doing [the Pledge of Allegiance] within a Christian worship service."

"Uncomfortable" ..... a new way to express hatred........and you don't even have to wear a white sheet.
