Trumbo, a biographical movie about the famed screenwriter, Dalton Trumbo, goes into national release today. Here are some reviews and other pertinent items about the film:

The guy was a Commie & left-wing loon.
The only good thing to come out of Trumbo was an awesome Metallica video based on a movie adaptation of his book.
Hollywood has a blacklist today.

Trumbo was a flaming hypocrite. Wrote “Johnny Got His Gun” to sap the warfighting will of the west prior to WWII, then tried to suppress the book when fighting meant saving his precious Soviet Union.

Was required to read Johnny Got His Gun freshman year in college. I won’t be seeing this movie, which I am sure is sympathetic to Trumbo.

All that needs to be said about Dalton Trumbo and his inhuman peers is that they were all in favor of what Stalin was doing, and wanted Stalinist terror in America.
If anyone deserved hanging for treason, it was these monsters, and their descent today.
I was listening to the Cranston interview on NPR. (yeah, I know. I was stuck in traffic in a radio wasteland.) What I came away with is: why did Trumbo get a year in prison for contempt of Congress, and Holder didn’t???

Alan Ryskind spent many years working on his book about the Hollywood Blacklist and the great work his patriotic father, Morrie Ryskind, did in the Screenwriters Guild to keep the reds out.
I worked for Alan for years. He’s one of our unsung patriots who has been in the trenching fighting for freedom since the 1960’s.
Re Trumbo, contempt of Congress and jail time, vs. nothing for Holder, Lerner, Kosiken (sp)(IRS), Hillary, etc.
Back in those days (1940’s and early 50’s, American patriots were in Congress and clamped down on Communists, the Mafia, etc.
Today we have cowards, whimps, pansies, commies, socialists (I’m being repetitive here), Democrats (and again), greedy slimebags and crooks (both Dems and Repubs).
Real Republicans/conservatives would have held Holder, Hillary, Lerner etc not only in Contempt of Congress, but enforced it with jail time.
Holding someone in contempt is no longer a badge of shame. To the Left it is a badge of honor (in my real world, a badge of dishonor).
