Unfortunately I can’t read the article yet (network erros) but besides (or in addition to) the immigration issue a major reason Trump is doing so well is that more and more people are increasingly seeing the federal government as our enemy.
We believe Trump, with all his brashness, and “who gives a damn” independence, will be willing to bitchslap entire agencies that desperately need to be bitchslapped.
We want the federal jackboot off our necks and Trump is the only one (so far) who has addressed that concern loudly.
Please note that I think Cruz and Carson would also make a good president, but Trump has been loudest and angriest lately, and WE THE PEOPLE are in a very loud and angry mood towards the thugs in DC
I think that is Trumps edge. He shown willing to fight and that is what people want someone who will fight the DC Machine.
I don't believe that, but I understand why many people do.
How many times have you heard some politician "take responsibility" for a problem, and then no consequences are delivered? I believe, regarding DT, that his "you're fired" refrain lurks in the back of peoples' heads.
Sometimes the job really does require a hammer. Trump appears to be the biggest hammer available.
