Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who declared during last month's Democratic presidential debate that "the American people are sick and tired" of hearing about Hillary Clinton's private email account, on Wednesday defended a federal probe into the matter and said it should continue.
“You get 12 seconds to say these things,†Sanders told The Wall Street Journal, referring to his comments at the debate. “There’s an investigation going on right now. I did not say, ‘End the investigation.’ That’s silly. ... Let the investigation proceed unimpeded.â€
In one of the most memorable moments of the debate, Sanders chided the media for focusing on Clinton's email scandal instead of substantive policy issues.
"The American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails!" he said, with Clinton nodding and smiling in agreement.
n Wednesday's interview, Sanders clarified that his comments were not meant to dismiss the controversy over Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. That said. I’d have some respect for Mr Green Jeans if he’d start Hammering Madame Benghazi the Cold and Joyless on this issue.
Just a simple: “How can you trust her? She is incompetent, dishonest and a liar. True social respect society and the law. How can she be a good progressive if she puts herself above the needs of the movement? She is a self-serving member of the bourgeoisie” would do.

He’s a little slow on the uptake. He’s finally figured out that standing up for truth and accountability might’ve helped his campaign.
Bernie does that to Hilly, and he will wind up shot, stabbed, strangled, poisoned, harpooned, thrown from a fourth floor window, hit by a bus, and a train, struck by lightning and eaten by sharks. His body, the bits that haven't been shat out by bears, will be found under a fallen tree.
The Coroner's verdict will be "Death by the visitation of God."
Bernie, here's how it plays out. If it looks like Hillary can be somewhat competitive with potential Republican challengers, then she's golden. You can't win.
If it looks like she's sinking against the R's, and a couple of recent polls are starting to indicate such, then Obama turns the AG loose on her. Then Uncle Joe steps in to "save the party." And you're out.
So, take my advice. Enjoy your little moment in the sun. Bask in the adoration of your fawning band of nitwits. But don't take any of this too seriously. You have a shelf-life.

His first reaction was his honest reaction—he really doesn’t want to talk about the emails, he just wants to be everybody’s favorite cranky socialist professor.
