NASA Study Showing Massive Ice Growth Debunks UN Claims

Apparently the science surrounding alleged anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (AGW) is not really so settled after all. In a barely noticed statement released last week, NASA dropped the equivalent of a nuclear bomb on the United Nations' climate-alarmism machine, noting that ice across Antarctica has been growing at break-neck speed for decades. The surging ice growth, of course, directly contradicts the predictions of global-warming alarmists, including a 2013 report by the increasingly discredited UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change claiming, falsely as it turns out, that Antarctica was losing ice at an accelerating rate and causing rising sea levels, all supposedly owing to humanity's emissions of the "gas of life" CO2.

It turns out(surprise, surprise) that the UN IPCC "experts" on global warming have been lying all along about the supposedly rapidly melting ice in the Antarctic. New information shows that the ice coverage has been expanding for years.

The asymmetry between the arctic and the antarctic has been one of the main indicators that any theory positing or purporting to explain global warming is wrong.

A theory which explains arctic warming and antarctic cooling is needed. Amusingly there is one which includes an anthropogenic cause: soot from Russian and Chinese coal-fired power plants lowering the albedo of the arctic ice pack, causing it to melt and the northern hemisphere to warm slightly. The problem is, getting the Duma and the Chicom Central Committee to pass analogues of the Clean Air Act doesn't serve the interests of the left or Western elites, while providing an excuse for government control of the energy sector does.
