Despite the network’s best efforts to 'fire' the GOP presidential frontrunner, he is poised to have his biggest media night in months this week when he hosts Saturday Night Live.

More than a decade ago, Donald Trump stood on the stage of Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Center to host the April 3, 2004, episode of Saturday Night Live. The real estate mogul was nearing the end of his impressively-rated first season as host of The Apprentice on NBC, and this was his victory lap.

They will cave.
I will be surprised if they don’t.

I don’t think that Presidential candidates should be hosting comedy shows...but if they were stupid enough to bring on Hillary, and had Obama walk on back on 2008, the the a-holes better let Trump host.

Eddie Murphy was infuriated when David Spade on SNL showed a photo of Murphy and said,

“Children, make a wish. It’s a falling star.”

(An allusion to Murphy’s string of bad movies.)

Murphy boycotted SNL for decades after that.

Yeah, infant-killer Hillary was cackling and screeching on superannuated, unfunny SNL on October 3rd.

“Ordinary Americans increasingly view members of the opposite party with contempt and scorn. They see them as less intelligent and more selfish,”

The `rats aren’t even making an effort to appear fair any more. Now it’s just, “No! No! No!” stamping their feet & making demands.

If they don’t cave, I bet they’ll have some nasty surprise planned for Trump, from a “star” — not the network — for plausible deniability.

It’s still live, right? Anything can happen....

Not only will they not fire him, they’ll probably negotiate to have him on several more shows if they’re smart - now, before he gets the nomination.

If they do, Trump will win big.

If they don’t, Trump will win big.

NBC just has to ask which win do they want to hand him.

Heard one of the guys involved with "Laugh In" on Dennis Miller a while back. Promoting some anniversary show or whatever.

His biggest regret was having Nixon on, because it made Nixon likable, and not what they in the dominant media had portrayed Nixon as up to that point.

Trump had a meeting with Lorin Michaels last night. The gig is on, and Trump was selecting which skits he wanted to participate in.

NBC is looking forward to the highest ratings in a long time.

Now if they really wanted ratings, they should have called the top dog Carson. I guess they just wanted to make Trump fell less bad now that Carson is trouncing him.

Howling here...

The purpose of the article is to increase the pressure to drop the Donald, not merely report it.

I think it was Al Sharpton whose SNL appearance was dropped by many local affiliates for fear of equal time requirements when he was running for office.

They could have Carson on, sleeping in every skit. Kind of like weekend at Bernie’s.

I watched that skit and kept thinking to myself wow! Hillary’s a pretty good actress. She made it through all her lines flawlessly. I guess she has had plenty of practice.

They’re playing King of the Mountain with the candidates...whoever is at the top will be the focus to take down....Carson and Cruz will get there’s all in good time....until Rubio stands alone...they’re guy of the hour.

Calling him a racist, really??? Does that old trick still work?

Frankly, I always thought he had the most African American contestants on celebrity apprentice than any other reality show. And they did better — as opposed to that old smear on American Idol that the black contestants never made it far.

It’s all they can think of.
