Trump looks like the presidential winner among likely voters.
FOX will instantly announce that their poll shows that Carson is way ahead.
People put too much stock in debates. This does not surprise me at all.
This is the second or third poll I’ve seen this season where they ask people not “who are you voting for” but “who do you think will win?”
I find it bizarre that a poll would focus on the question of inevitability and not actual ask what the persons own preference would be.
I continue to question Trump’s sincerity or authenticity but then he says something like “I really think Obama HATES Israel”.. Gotta love him! He continues to drop ‘truth bombs’ no other candidate will say.
Rasmussen Reports' latest national telephone survey finds that 31% of Likely Republican Voters think Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee in 2016. Dr. Ben Carson is a distant second at 20%.
Asking people who they think the nominee will be, is not the same as who they intend to vote for.
I could be resigned to Mrs. Bill Clinton winning the Democrat nomination. It wouldn't mean I was going for her.
Is this poll inaccurate, due to the framing of the question? Possibly.
The big problem the GOP-E has is that the combined totals of Trump, Carson, and Cruz are nearing or exceeding 60%. There isn’t a really a conventional path to victory for them.
Asking who will win is not the same thing as who you plan on voting for.

How can a candidate who has donated to democrats (as well as republicans to be fair) can poll 28:6 over a constitutional conservative from Texas? This ratio has not changed much at all in 5 straight months. Where are all the constitutional conservative voters?
Patriots, Trump is used to being the boss. But I do not think that low-information Trump understands that corrupt Congress can make him a lame-duck president from his first day in office. So if patriots elect Trump as president then they are also going to have to elect a new Congress that will legislatively support Trump.
