One of the hardest-working men in politics is taking on the toughest job in the Republican race: Saving Jeb Bush.
Danny Diaz, Bush's campaign manager, spent 15 years in the Republican trenches building a reputation as a top-notch "oppo man" - overseeing opposition research into rival campaigns and figuring out how to use pungent details to knock out rivals and change the story line of a campaign.
Many who know the 40-year-old son of Spanish immigrants insist that the barrel-chested, tough-talking Diaz is just the man to jump-start the floundering Bush organization. Some wonder if anyone can rescue Bush at this point.
Based on Diaz's early efforts, saving Bush won't be easy. And it's not looking pretty.
Driven by Diaz, the campaign has enacted a strategy of increasingly attacking Bush's longtime friend, Miami neighbor and one-time protege, Marco Rubio, for missing Senate votes and for being a "GOP Obama" who lacks experience.

Lack of judgement and ignorance of people, in general...more reasons that Jeb shouldn’t be president.

Diaz worked for McCain and got Obama elected.
Then he worked for Romney and got Obama re-elected.

Driven by Diaz, the campaign has enacted a strategy of increasingly attacking Bush's longtime friend, Miami neighbor and one-time protege, Marco Rubio, for missing Senate votes and for being a "GOP Obama" who lacks experience. Yeah, that worked out real well at the debate last week.
Brilliant!
