Trump: NBC can’t resist my fantastic ratings
NY Times ^ | October 31, 2015 | By Robert Rorke

Why is Donald Trump hosting “Saturday Night Live” next weekend after NBC canceled the Miss Universe pageant?

“It’s called ratings,” Trump told The Post. “I go on Jimmy Fallon, he got his best ratings. One of the best nights he’s had in years. Then I did Colbert’s show. That got fantastic ratings. He beat Fallon by a lot. Since then, NBC and I get along great.”

“The Tonight Show” drew 4.46 million viewers when Trump appeared on Sept. 11, its biggest Friday audience in 18 months. Trump’s Sept. 22 sit-down on “The Late Show” on CBS averaged 4.56 million viewers, the show’s second-largest ratings since Stephen Colbert’s debut. Fallon averaged 3.38 million viewers the same night.

Those numbers have welcomed Trump back to the network that had a very public falling out with the candidate in June.

First, Trump says NBC was upset that he pulled out of “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“If you’re running for president you can’t have a television show. NBC was not happy. They wanted to give me 28 shows. I said I can’t commit. [Executive producer] Mark Burnett called me. He said, ‘You’re the only person I know who’s turning down a major extension.’ ”

Then came his June 16 presidential campaign announcement.

The Trump phenomenon is bizarre on so many levels. No one, I mean no single person alive (except he and his family perhaps), anticipated, suspected, dreamed that Mr Trump could be taken seriously as possible POTUS.

But here we are. DT continuing to dominate the medial and his rival repubs.

Slide ruler nerdy conultant wonks are sleepless, even Rove is losing weight, trying to reconcile their “computer model” campaign tactics with the juggernaut steam roller style of Mr Trump.

The current frenzy and hysteria, by all those confounded and outraged by Trump, results from denial of the utter bankruptcy and corruption in our political system and manipulative media that support and protect a cadre of truly venal characters. Combined with The Donald's inherent love of America and her traditions, along with his competitive spirit, boundless energy and prodigious intellect, we have the ingrediants for an epic saga and hopefully an epic finish where President Donald Trump leads not only an ailing nation, but a dangerously sick world into the light.

"The font problem is driving me FRIGGIN NUTS?"

What's driving ME friggin nuts is that although this problem has been ongoing for at least a week, there's no thread or notice by the PTB telling us what's going on, what the problem is in non-technical language, and what's being done about it. I'm sure it's being worked on, and will be solved....but communication with us beleaguered readers regarding a problem that has been ongoing for so long is ZERO...and this should not be.

Notice how the big symbol is the euro? That's a sign of the conspiracy. This is a warning of the coming ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!! They've gotten to Free Republic!!! Remember last week's virus warnings? It's all part of the global conspiracy. Trust No One. Especially not a very short woman driving a very large sport ute.

I just reformatted this using ClipMate.

There are threads about it. Copy and past with quotation marks and it happens. The poster has to go back through and retype every quote.

There was even a thread saying it was fixed. Guess not so much.

I'm liking Trump more and more.

This guy has turned the political process on its head. Everyone who is invested in the way things run now has to be furious.

Rove's political models won't work with this guy. The MSM gotcha style of journalism won't work. The money people can't bury him... they've squandered millions and Trump hasn't even needed to dip into his own personal wealth to any great degree.

The Democrats are in danger of losing big chunks of union support because of Keystone Pipeline... not to mention Trump has actually HIRED these guys to build his properties. He seems to have a shocking amount of Hispanic support... because he's actually HIRED them. Same with blacks. The low-info voters that normally flock to Democrats love him from his TV show.

Nothing is working as it is "supposed" to work.

Sorry, one more thing.

Eventually, the GOP is going to have to look at the down-ballot impact of a Trump candidacy, and I think it is potentially massive.

I have a feeling this guy is going to have coattails.

So the MSM continues to want to give Trump all the free publicity they can and none of his supporters ever wonder why. Oh, of course, suddenly they’re in it for the money; they’ve become capitalists.

So they no doubt now want Trump to be President given their new-found capitalist philosophy.

Or maybe they just think Hillary will have the best chance against Trump? No, couldn’t be that. His negatives among Republican voters are too low....Oh, wait....
