And now, as icing on the poisoned cake, House Republicans have elected a Speaker who was not asked to renounce his commitment to open borders and amnesty, policies which will betray the values of 75% of the party and give Democrats a permanent electoral majority within a decade.
Tancredo is a great guy. A shame he never became President.
At this point, I’m a republican because I want to vote in the primary and I don’t want democrats gerrymandering me into liberal hell.
He also said he is going to work to get Ted Cruz into the White House.
tanc speaks the truth. welcome to the defacto independent conservative party.
So where do the independents go? The machine is going to run Hillary as a Dem.
To Paraphrase Reagan: I didnt Leave The Republican Party. They Left Me.
He has done as I and many of my friends.
The GOP is only slightly less slimy than the Gimmecrats.
I despise them both and know they will be the prime enemy when CW II starts.
So rather than fight for his ideals within the party he jumps for the Democrat/Liberal side? What a hero, a rollover.
As long as we don’t leave the Republican party with John McCain, or Jeb Bush, or some other half-wit as the party nominee, fine.
I’m remaining in to vote against these ass-bites.
Why didn’t folks leave the party when McCain was nominated? Now we have a guy on the horizon that may do a very good job, and NOW they want to bolt?
Scratching my head... You could wait this long Tom, but you can’t wait until November 2016?
If I had someplace to go, I would have left RNC after ‘43.
What a freakin enigma and one hell of a conundrum argument to defend those things he did well, before going off the rails in 2003/2004
I’ve worried over the same thing for years now..
I decided that changing to a independent simply did not say anything to the GOP. In fact, they do just fine when they are out of power, (perhaps better) then they do when they are the majority. We have seen this twice now in recent years.
So how do you send a message when threats don’t work, losses don’t work, and leaving the party obvious does not work?
I don’t know but I am very close to simply not voting..out of utter frustration. I don’t think that would work either..
The GOPe fired Tancredo before he could quit.
We are about to win. Let’s see this through. We’ve got scalps on the wall.
McTurtle is next!
I’ve often been tempted to leave the Republican Party for the same reason(s) as Tancredo. I haven’t because I believe voting for a third party, or any other existing party, would only throw the election to worst of the other two choices. And yes, that’s still the Demonrats.
I stay a registered republican to vote in the primaries. A warning to liberal repubs...I refuse to vote for you cause liberal republicans are destroying the party.
I’m far right of the Republican party.
It stands to reason that under the New World Order, the one world gov’t, there is no room for a two party political system in the U.S....So it makes perfect sense that the GOP is blending in with the Democrats...
Tom Tancredo helped get John Hickenlooper elected by running third party.
Tom, my wife and I did it last spring. You will feel so clean and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner once you pull the plug and no longer have to listen to their lies or worry about their broken promises.
