Wal Mart pulled an Israeli soldier costume and a âSheik Faginâ prosthetic nose, after facing a backlash from social media.
The products reportedly were removed from the companyâs website and from store shelves on Tuesday afternoon, hours after the American-Arab Anti-Discriminatory Committee called on Walmart and other retailers to remove the products as well as others deemed anti-Arab.
The committee, known as the ADC, was joined in its call by joined by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR; and the US Palestinian Community Network, or USPCN.
âThe Israeli forces are a symbol of violence and fear for Palestinians living under occupation, and Palestinians around the world whom have lost their homes and been victims of violence at the hands of soldiers. A symbol of fear, violence and a long history of dispossession should not be used for entertainment purposes. An Israeli soldier costume is highly offensive to Arab-Americans, particularly those who have had family members, including children, killed by Israeli soldiers,â ADC said in a statement.
ADC also denounced the sale of âa variety of âArabâ costumes, which is said âcan lead to hate crimes against Arab-Americans.â
âThe glorification of Israeli soldiers juxtaposed with the mockery of Arab people promotes an anti-Arab racism that is all too common in America. Walmartâs webpage for the item suggests that the nose is âperfect for an Arab Sheik,â perpetuating racist tropes that have long been used to demonize, otherize and alienate Arab communities throughout history,â the group said.
Walmart did not indicate on its Facebook page or Twitter feed that it had removed the items, but they no longer appear on its website.
The product remained available for purchase on the Amazon website as of Wednesday morning.
Sears pulled a hat that said “infidel” in Arabic about a week ago.
CAIR apparently has WAAAAAY too much time to spend shopping online.
Quick! To Amazon!!!
On a related note, I remember in 1968 the Nixon masks, complete with the less-than-flattering long pointed nose was very popular at Halloween. Especially in 72 when the Watergate mess started coming to light, the novelty stores could barely keep up with the demand. There were masks available of very president since, and it wasn’t a big deal. But wear an 0bama mask and everyone loses their effing minds.
After uproar has WALMART pulled their online Classic Ouija Board Game?
The picture has been pulled, but not the product.

What... they don’t want a frightful Halloween?!?
(Irony subsists on several levels here)
I hate everything about Walmart.
Watch PC’ness in action in only a few years.
Here’s a review of the nose:

Last year, in October, there was only one review of this nose being offensive. This year, with an article about it, everyone jumped into the Amazon review section posting that it’s racist. So now it’s racist but it wasn’t until the article.
How is anyone going to be able to dress like Klinger from MASH without this rubber nose?
That was an easy prediction that I’m sure many on here along with myself made the moment we heard about the costume. Next.
People who believe it, or some other method, physically serves to get in touch with supernatural spirits, often find that to be so. It is the believing, not the board, that does it. I’d expect devoted atheists/aspiritualists trying it would not get any results at all — they refuse to believe.
As of now, at least Amazon is still selling them, as well as other IDF related stuff. So far, good for them!
Why was there uproar over a Ouija Board?
Tell me again why un-indited conspirators in terror funding schemes get to tell us what to do.
Oooooooohhh... incoming
Why would they pull Sheik Fagin’s nose? :)
[Why was there uproar over a Ouija Board?]
Ouija Boards are demonic and have no place in the toy section of a store.
And remember the rodeo clown who had an Obama mask??,, as I recall, he got fired, and the rest of the rodeo clowns got sent to sensitivity training. We have always been able to make fun of politicians until Obama came along. But now, Obama is somehow so special, he can’t be the butt of the joke.
The late night comedians and John Stewart types, who regularly skewered Bush, almost never target Obama.
It’s called ‘entryism’. Leftists infiltrate the boards, committees, they creep in especially in Human Relations and the personnel department, slowly, over the years, crying out ‘but we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings!’ And people with sensible viewpoints get marginalized, sneered at, reported on. The entryist leftists are really good at it.
Normal people don’t do shit like this. We are not dealing with normal people here. But ordinary well-meaning people fall back in confusion when confronted with professional agitators using guilt language. Ordinary people are not mentally armed against this crap. When they get ambushed they back off. So the leftist agitators take over the PR departments and voila, baby.
