Love is The Father having sent His only Son to become our Passover sacrifice.
I do not give a rat’s behind who “grooves” on my thoughts or not. I spoke the truth. God consistently allowed a nation of His people to be destroyed, having their children stacked up like cordwood for giving themselves over to wickedness.
Having been witness to REAL persecution while living in slums with persecuted brethren, I can tell you that the American idea of what constitutes God’s Love is NOT biblical nor how God operates.
Painful lesson to learn. But true - even if rejected by most.
I never referenced “the American idea of God’s love.” That’s pretty jolly shallow.
But you too are missing the point if “a Passover sacrifice” is all God’s love is to you, as though He were content to be your not-hell, in order to let you keep on doing what you had been doing because you won’t be slain.
It is the love of Heaven that moves people to do what God wants them to do in Christ. Why do you insist on mixing and matching scripture inaptly?
And I can clarify further. The Passover sacrifice pointed forward to Christ, as a symbol, and a symbol which never claimed to have the complete story in it. Christ doesn’t point back to the symbol. Going in reverse like that is going to get you a distorted view.
