GOP candidates to exclude RNC from talks about changing debates

Republican presidential campaigns will meet together to discuss changing the debate process this weekend, and will not include representatives from the Republican National Committee (RNC), Politico reported Thursday evening.

The news comes after a series of complaints about Wednesday’s presidential debate hosted by CNBC. Candidates complained during and after the event about the network and the debate moderators.

The weekend confab is being organized by the campaigns of Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Politico reported.

The campaigns of Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.), as well as Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee, are expected to participate as well.

The report added that the campaigns feel the RNC has not prioritized the candidates in the debate process. The discussion will center on structuring upcoming debates.

They need to do something, this last “debate”/inquisition was a farce, especially compared to the Dim “debate”/ass-kissing.

Also, expand the kids table and shrink the main debate to no more than 6 candidates.

The RNC has done enough damage. It needs to butt out.

Stream them on the internet and leave out the networks completely. The networks know how much money it will cost them. It is 2015, nobody needs them to get their message out.

I think the last straw for Trump came at the very end of the debate - after his closing remarks - when he made the statement about them negotiating the time down to two hours ...

And that little faggoty puke of a “moderator” stated that “It was always going to be two hours” - just to get in the last word, the last little dig, like the immature putz that he is. Trump told him off ...

These arrogant elitist media rump swabs have no idea of what a beat down they are going to get. Trump will thump a bump on their stump!

This sounds like it has the potential to be a big deal in future debates. The next scheduled event is in about 2 weeks on FBN.

Noticeably absent from those mentioned is Ted Cruz. I can’t imagine he won’t be involved but maybe he’s pissed off too many people to be included.

30-word limit on moderator questions and no interrupting during time allotted to candidate reply.

expand the kids table and shrink the main debate to no more than 6 candidates.

Three: Trump, Cruz and...one more.

I think that Ted Cruz is going to be involved.

He was involved in their beef, in fact almost central.

I still strongly support Donald Trump, but Ted Cruz was very, very strong I felt in that debate.

This is what leadership looks like. The RNC handcuffed GOP candidates over and over again, and deferred to the conservative hating media to hold the debates. Trump and Carson have had enough of snarky partisan moderators. The RNC has made itself an obstacle, not a helpful ally. It deserves to be ignored from now on by the Candidates.

I hope this makes the cable news networks and the msm networks uneasy. The GOP debates have been a godsend for their ratings.

If the major GOP candidates decide to abandon the networks and their debate moderators for something else, the shrieks from the msm will be bloodcurdling.

Trump, Cruz, and Rubio. The rest should all just go away for good, but we still have to pretend like Carson could actually win the nomination for a while.
