"I kinda do too," he replied. "I'm just worried because that's what everyone else seems to think too."

Bush received poor reviews for his debate performance from political commentators of all stripes (Republican, Democratic, partisan, nonpartisan, reporters, "data journalists"), many of whom also suggested that his campaign might soon be over. The straw poll1 we conducted among FiveThirtyEight writers and editors agreed; Bush's average grade was a C-, putting him at the bottom of the 10-candidate group.

In the insurgent lane, Ted Cruz, a candidate whose chances were already on the upswing, probably helped himself during the debate. It's possible that Cruz's gains will come at Donald Trump's expense, although I personally thought Trump did fine and that if Cruz gains in the polls, it could come from Ben Carson or some other candidate instead.
But whether it's Cruz or Trump or Carson ahead, the Republican establishment can't wait that much longer to get its act together. And the most expedient way to do that may be to kick Bush to the curb.

Jeb Bush is not “toast” unless and until the GOPe drops him into the slot. The debates and the primaries are relevant only as they influence the GOPe by embarrassing it and it’s insistence on Bush as the Nominee.

Bush is toast all right, but he’s too well lodged in the R power and money structure to be “kicked to the curb” by a consensus of we the electorate.
The curb-kicking will have to come from the GOPe power structure, or he’ll have to open his own eyes and take himself out.
Pray that the scales fall from his eyes SOON.
Let’s see if the GOPe donors withdraw their support and/or shift it to Rubio or even Christie.
What’s odd is that if you measured desire for the job...Trump maxes out completely, and Cruz probably comes a close second. I just don’t see Carson really wanting the job. Rubio has zero desire.

But when even Chris Christie is piling on him over his stupid response re: fantasy football, it is pretty clear that the worm has turned.
It’s funny how Rubio and Christie are being congratulated by Fox News Republicans for going after the media when it was Ted that led the charge and got a huge round of applause for it in return. If Ted hadn’t done that and the crowd hadn’t responded the way it did, I highly doubt the others would have gone after the CNBC moderators the way they did.
¡Yeb! was toast before he started campaigning.
Maybe he needs to campaign in a foreign language to foreigners who can’t vote (legally) some more, that’ll help.....
Nate Silver and the liberal elite have realized the GOP Trojan Horse to elect Hillary is toast.
The GOP establishment has slim pickings... they can still try to parachute in Mittens.
After all, it looks like the insurgents will take over the party.
