Coach Joe Kennedy has been booted from the locker room at Bremerton High School in Washington State, Fox News has learned exclusively.
Superintendent Aaron Leavell placed the longtime coach on administrative leave after he refused to stop his post-game prayers.
âEffective immediately, pending further District review of your conduct, you are placed on paid administrative leave from your position as an assistant coach with the Bremerton High School football program,â Level wrote to the coach in an Oct. 28th letter. âYou may not participate, in any capacity, in BHS football program activities.â

He was suspended because he is a devout Christian.
The coach has a right to confront his accuser.
If the football team has any beliefs of their own, they should walk to the middle of the field at the beginning of the next game, pray, and then head for the locker room.
If he’d been a Moslem, and thrown down a prayer rug at halftime and prayed to Mecca, they’d all be smiling and patting him on the back.
I’ll wager that the accuser is a state official.
No surprise. Most of the West coast is liberal and athiest and feed at the trough of Obama save a portion of Northen part of CA. I think I understand why God placed the San Andrea’s Fault there. So he could just snap off the bad part when its no longer any good...
[Iâll wager that the accuser is a state official]
or the ACLU.
No, some bitter whining liberal gums with a wuss for a political rep
Yes the entire team should walk to the 50 yard line and engage in 10 minutes of silent meditation just to make a point
He refused to eat of the sacrifices to Caesar Obama. Lucky he has not been burned, just thrown to the beasts.
This coach didn’t hurt anyone. It was after the game. Players weren’t required to attend. It was their choice.
The superintendent has ruled that those associated with the school have no religious freedom while on the campus. That simply isn’t true. Teachers can gather in rooms together to pray. They can join in prayer in Christian clubs, the same way they can help in other school clubs.
The school district deserves disdain and a lawsuit.
And any freedom loving students and parents should protest and should boycott the sports program.
Great idea!
Bremerton has been noted for connections to the US military, especially the navy.
Very funny. If the administration doesn’t have your back, teachers/coaches have zero rights. Powerful union protection is a myth. They only take action once you’ve been terminated. Just on leave-admin can conduct a lengthy and in depth investigation, interview (with leading questions)hundreds of students and the teacher/coach will not have any represention there at all nor will they be able to interview even one student. Even if you know the actual complaint (you aren’t always informed) the name will be redacted on all reports.
It is a close call whether the Superintendent's moral nakedness is as obvious as his intellectual nakedness; whether his bigotry exceeds his stupidity? But what sort of an educational system would place a crack-pot dolt in such a position?
The commie lib war on Christianity continues. Nothing in the U.S. Constitution or the Bill of Rights prohibits a coach from praying with players from BOTH TEAMS after a game. NOTHING! It’s time to shut down the haters down at the aCLU.
This happens every time these educated liberal floozies starts poontangin’ around with those show folk fags.
Actually, every occurrence like this is a Constitutional violation. The State is ‘establishing’ a religion (secular humanism) and prohibiting the ‘free exercise thereof’ (prayer). By banning ‘religion’, the state is, ipso facto, establishing one.
I couldn’t remember until checking, but there is a major (3rd largest in nation) naval base there. This is not just the average left-wing West Coast town. There might be some backlash locally against this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Base_Kitsap
