Cruz: Obama –Boehner Budget Deal Ridiculous, Deceitful, and a Disgrace (Proof Ryan Staff CRAFTED it)
CHQ ^ | 10/28/2015 | George Rasley

Senator Ted Cruz has come out strongly against the Ryan – Obama – Boehner budget deal that was agreed to in the middle of the night between departing Speaker of the House John Boehner, establishment Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Obama.

The budget is a two fiscal year agreement that fully funds Obama’s budget priorities, takes spending off the table as an issue in the 2016 election and breaks the spending caps agreed to as part of the 2011 debt ceiling Ted Cruzdeal that took spending off the table for the 2012 presidential election.

In short, it is a complete surrender to Obama on spending, leaving him free to proceed with a host of anti-conservative policies intended to “fundamentally change America,” without the possibility that a Republican Congress will use the power of the purse to stop him.

Senator Cruz perfectly articulated our view of this middle of the night surrender in a release saying, “For anyone wondering about the source of the American people’s volcanic frustration with Washington, one need look no further than so-called ‘Republican’ majorities in both houses of Congress increasing the budget and our debt by more than $400 billion. It’s ridiculous, deceitful, and a disgrace.”

And Senator Cruz isn’t the only conservative who has come out strongly against this outrage.

Tea Party Patriots leader Jenny Beth Martin sent an action alert to Tea Party supporters saying, ““Here we go again: John Boehner wants to make his last capitulation to President Obama his worst. Rather than keep his promises to reduce spending, this budget ‘deal’ will undo the spending caps Republicans fought for, adding an additional $80 billion to the deficit. On top of that, the ‘deal’ will raise the debt limit and allow Washington insiders to add more to our $18 trillion national debt. As we have stated for years, Congress should not increase the debt ceiling unless they are going to balance the budget within 5 years and immediately begin cutting spending.”

Eagle Forum founder, and First Lady of the Conservative Movement, Phyllis Schlafly issued a call to action saying, “This monstrosity not only allows the federal government to take on new debt, but it also gives away the only clear conservative victory from the last six years - the budget caps that have curbed federal discretionary spending. The Republican negotiators gave Obama, Reid, and Pelosi what they most desperately want right now - spending increases…”

Senator Rand Paul also came out strongly against the Ryan – Obama – Boehner budget deal in a statement to Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle, telling Boyle, “If Paul Ryan votes to bust the budget caps, the public may want to reconsider whether or not he represents a step forward.”

Senator Paul, who is close with many Freedom Caucus members, told Breitbart News. “I think this deal is a steaming pile of the same old, same old and it stinks. I don’t think you can be a fiscal conservative and support busting the budget caps. I don’t think you can be a fiscal conservative and be liberal with military spending. I think each and every conservative should ask: Does Congress hate America?”

Now here’s the key point that the establishment media is hiding: The Washington establishment’s candidate for Speaker, Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan, was also in on the deal.

As our friend Andy McCarthy pointed out in “Budget Betrayal: GOP’s Path to Victory … for Hillary” for PJ Media:

Rep. Paul Ryan says the deal “stinks” and ripped the way it was negotiated. But we’ve learned with Ryan and his cohort to ignore what they say – and the indignation with which they say it – and watch what they do. What Ryan will do is … nothing. He is a key GOP leadership figure, chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, and Boehner’s heir apparent. In fact, despite some lingering conservative opposition, Republicans are expected to select him as speaker tomorrow morning – shortly before Boehner rushes through the budget deal. Ryan wants the deal done, but on Boehner’s watch. He could scuttle the deal by opposing it … but he won’t. Bank on it.

Ryan’s claims that he wasn’t part of the deal are such transparent lies that even the liberal Huffington Post, which apparently likes the deal, had to take him to task for trying to worm out of owning it.

“Paul Ryan's staff was involved in crafting the provision for weeks,” a Democratic aide told HuffPost. “His staff signed off on the provision, his staff also signed off on other key provisions” related to tax compliance and Medicare reports the Huffington Post’s Arthur Delaney.

“Majority Leader McConnell and a lame duck Speaker Boehner have once again linked arms with a lame duck President Obama and Congressional Democrats to extend Washington’s failed spending policies another two years. This is not a ‘grand bargain’ or negotiation — it is complete and utter surrender,” said Ted Cruz.

Senator Cruz is right. Anytime the Republican establishment starts talking about “governing” or “bipartisan negotiation” America’s country class should check their wallets, because more spending, deficits and debt are on the way – and this budget deal is the latest proof.

John Boehner’s golden parachute will certainly cement his legacy, said Senator Cruz, but it is a slap in the face to conservatives who rose up across the country in 2014 on a promise that we would stop the disastrous runaway spending and debt in Washington. We now have a GOP Congress, but no one watching this budget surrender would know it.

The real vote on this #ZombieBudget is the vote on the Rule to bring the bill to the floor. Any Republican that votes to bring the #ZombieBudget to the Floor deserves a Primary election challenge.

We urge you to call your Representative, the House switchboard is 1-866-220-0044, tell him or her you demand a NO vote on the rule to bring the #ZombieBudget to the House floor and an end to the secret deals with Obama to increase spending and the debt ceiling and burden our children and grandchildren with billions of dollars of new Establishment Republican debt.

I hope Cruz brings this up tonight in the debate. It will strengthen his cred as an outsider battling the Washington cartel.

How can I not want someone in charge who just might blow the hell out of this party?

The GOP has to go.

RE:”In short, it is a complete surrender to Obama on spending, leaving him free to proceed with a host of anti-conservative policies intended to “fundamentally change America,” without the possibility that a Republican Congress will use the power of the purse to stop him.”

A couple notes :

1) I heard they did that to be able to increase military spending, Obama vetoed the defense budget sent to him.(few seem to know this)

2) No-one should have expected Ryan to go along with a ‘shutdown to get concessions’ strategy, there is no-way he would do that. That is NOT Ryan.

3) Why is there no real opposition to Ryan to be Speaker, why are there no real alternative candidates articulated how they will make Obama cave on budgets?

One more year and this madness MAY end.

or else it will be the end.

Japan’s debt is 200 percent of GDP. Are we trying to complete with them?

and how are they surviving with such staggering debt?

Ryan has become a loathsome, lying waste of space in Congress. Now he’s the leader. Sick.

The fact that Ted Cruz has one of the best funded campaigns but spends frugally looks good walking into a debate on economics.

Very Calvin Coolidge-ish

I don’t think he is as smart as folks say he is. Joe Biden wiped the floor with him at their VP debate in 2012 and we all know how stupid uncle Joe is.

Ryan is against it — until after the speakership election.

Then, he can say ‘screw you’.

Ryan was against the “deal” until he was for it!

I already decided that Ryan needs to get the same treatment as Cantor, days before the involvement of the Ryan staff with this budget.

In fact, the entire mess needs to be taken out behind the woodshed and ____.
