Donald J. Trump, who is rarely at a loss for words, admitted I dont know whats going on when confronted by Ben Carsons surge past him in early-voting Iowa, where Mr. Trump had led the Republican presidential field for months.
Mr. Trump has derided Mr. Carson for lacking the vigor and fortitude to be president, but voters here are drawn to the retired neurosurgeons low-pitched manner.
That smile and his soft voice makes people very comforted, said Miriam Greenfield, a farmer in Jewell, Iowa.

In an election season that has confounded party leaders and experts, the rise of Mr. Carson is another unexpected twist. His supporters cite Mr. Carsons character, not his positions, as the main reason they back him. And they say his low-key approach is precisely what would tame Washingtons bitter partisanship, rather than Mr. Trumps swagger.
He is kind when he speaks, and he doesnt have an agenda to set himself up as wonderful, said Donna Christiansen, a retiree in Ames.
I’ve seen his positions and he is not one for whom I am ever going to vote, period.
Now we see the point. This is the trait the liberals want in conservatives. They want to scare away their fight so that Ms Fib will remain the only fighter in the race.
That smile and his soft voice makes people very comforted,
For me, personally, I don’t need for a candidate to comfort me emotionally; I want to hear the candidate discuss the issues. A soft-voiced person can still dismantle the nation just like a shrilled-voiced Hillary can.
A barely audible, kindly, milquetoast candidate. Yeah, that’s what we need.
[He is kind when he speaks, and he doesnt have an agenda to set himself up as wonderful,]
Exactly what are CARSONS views on abortion and the Abortion Pill? Everything changed AFTER his record and writings were scrutinized. Unlike Trump, there is no explanation for the change. As a physician, it is unbelievable he could not make up his mind when life began in a baby.
What is more worrisome is his attitude towards Black Lives Matter and his top aides close ties to Farrakhan.
Hes for amnesty, death panels for the elderly. I wonder what his views are on global warming?
Carson would get rolled in a heartbeat by the Washington establishment.
Well isn't that special. Maybe we can all go over to mamby pamby land after the election.
A lot of it has to do with the fact that he’s somehow managed to corner the evangelical vote in Iowa. Which is weird considering his SDA religion.
That is his weak spot. They have all kinds of strange beliefs.
Good questions, not so good answers.
But even so, I believe this election will be decided by three things:
#1 What to do about illegal immigration.
#2 Jobs
#3 The Second Amendment.
Carson is not the right person to decide on these three things.

I agree. MSM is shoving him on us like they did McCain and Romney.
Yeh if Ben Carson becomes the nominee they will Uncle Tom and Oreo Cookie label and smear him. They loved McLame too until he faced their ZerO god. With that said, Trump, Carson or Cruz any are a universe better than their halloween queen.
I think the establishment if puffing him up because they know that hitlery will eat his lunch in the debates
If you don’t like his calm demeanor, he’ll stab or bludgeon you!
Carson reminds me of Wally Cox. I can barely stand to listen to him for longer than a minute.

I swear we on the right are our own worse enemy. We really do know how to screw ourselves with weak candidates, and thinking that somehow this cornball nonsense is going to win an election against socialists and people peddling identity politics.
The NYTimes has figured it out, and they will start writing puff pieces in Carson in order to help the idiots on our side right along the road to defeat.
Really great guy, but wobbly on guns and immigration.
