New Documents Reveal DOJ, IRS, and FBI Planned to prosecute Obama Opponents (Flashback July 2015)
Judicial Watch ^ | July 7, 2015

Posted on 10/27/2015 2:13:01 AM PDT by Brad from Tennessee

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released new Department of Justice (DOJ) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) documents that include an official “DOJ Recap” report detailing an October 2010 meeting between Lois Lerner, DOJ officials and the FBI to plan for the possible criminal prosecution of targeted nonprofit organizations for alleged illegal political activity.

The newly obtained records also reveal that the Obama DOJ wanted IRS employees who were going to testify to Congress to turn over documents to the DOJ before giving them to Congress. Records also detail how the Obama IRS gave the FBI 21 computer disks, containing 1.25 million pages of confidential IRS returns from 113,000 nonprofit social 501(c)(4) welfare groups – or nearly every 501(c)(4) in the United States – as part of its prosecution effort.

The documents were produced subsequent to court orders in two Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits: Judicial Watch v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:14-cv-1956) and Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice (No. 1:14-cv-1239).

The new IRS documents include a October 11, 2010 “DOJ Recap” memo sent by IRS Exempt Organizations Tax Law Specialist Siri Buller to Lerner and other IRS officials explaining an October 8 meeting with representatives from the Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section and “one representative from the FBI” to discuss the possible criminal prosecution of nonprofit organizations for alleged political activity:

"On October 8, 2010, Lois Lerner, Joe Urban [IRS Technical Advisor, TEGE], Judy Kindell [top aide to Lerner], Justin Lowe [Technical Advisor to the Commissioner of Tax-Exempt and Government Entities], and Siri Buller met with the section chief and other attorneys from the Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section, and one representative from the FBI, to discuss recent attention to the political activity of exempt organizations. . .

DOJ, the FBI, IRS and the White House couldn't afford to indict Lois Lerner because they are all her co-conspirators.

Well ... DOJ, FBI, and IRS are accountable, and they answer to who?

Doubt it if they would do anything by themselves, may be it is their boss?

The Public has let that Ship Sail ... bout 6 years ago.
We have been Fundamentally Changed.

Too true; the re-election of Obama showed the effectiveness of their tactics. The United States is gone.

Well, it is never too late to start what we should have started in the first place back in 2010.

It only takes a few to start getting the real message across to these people.

I think I will get my protest signs ready.......

Why isn’t this information being used as proof of corruption at the highest levels of government, inducing impeachment proceedings to commence? Oh, right - might upset the GOPe ....

If we sit idly by, the persecution of conservatives and Christians will accelerate. DHS along with the Southern Poverty Law Center have a new office to fight “radical extremism,” meaning Christian white people.

Article V before we can’t.

Obama’s stooges Koskinen and Lerner supplied confidential tax information on every conservative 501C organization—in violation of federal law—to Obama’s FBI and Dept. Of Justice trying to gin-up prosecutions.

Then their nefarious actions came to light. But Obama’s Dept. Of Justice stooges of course find that their IRS colleagues have done nothing wrong ....

Just reciting facts here.

Hey! Don’t worry about your potentially damaging or possibly embarrassing medical records under Obama’s “Affordable Care and Patient Privacy” act. These records are entirely confidential. Unauthorized disclosure of them would be a federal crime. So no worries.

Hitler wouldn’t have been who he was without the likes of Eichmann, Himmler and Heydrich and the same is true of Stalin. It’s the unaccountable bureaucracy that has enabled these people. Any politician that recognizes and promises do something about it is who I will support. The entire Federal government need fundamental change and purging.

Government is essentially amoral in character as leaders are primarily interested in efficiently implementing governing orders, directives, and policies. Its operations are moral or immoral based on the character of the persons directing the operations of its various agencies.

This case is a prime example of how a democracy can slip into an autocracy or dictatorship: persons of questionable character being given unmonitored access to the levers of authority; persons who are willing to pull those levers to support the politics they favor.

The question posed at the end of the article is salient. If the character of Justice is, itself, in question, can its decisions (in this case, not to prosecute and close the case) be viewed as anything except self-serving?

This too shall pass.

It would appear that Judicial Watch is unloading all the material that they have been collecting through their numerous FOI requests now that it has been decided by the Obama DOJ that there will be no prosecutions.

There may be no “official crimes”, but Judicial Watch is making sure that the facts get on public record. The palace guard Media will no doubt ignore this until Obama is safely out of office.

“The entire Federal government needs fundamental change and purging.”

Hear! Hear!

One problem with the “purging” verbiage is that these people (Holder, Lerner, et al) are already in “us verses them” mode as they try to maintain at the very least their pensions. If they hear from the proletariat enough of a hew and cry for their heads on a platter (literally or at least jail time) and come to believe that it is a possibility, they will become even more entrenched and violent as they now perceive they are defending their very lives.

So it is counter-productive to have us folk write or even imply that extreme retribution will be visited upon said gubmint folk. Let the payback solution be administered in due time but let it be a surprise.
