Hillary Clinton’s performance at the Select Committee on Benghazi hearing yesterday has been proclaimed by some in the media as a “triumph” because she was able to keep her composure without committing any major gaffes during the day-long marathon.
Clinton did appear to be composed and well prepared for everything the Republicans on the panel threw at her, but there were a couple of extremely weird moments in which she laughed inappropriately during serious questioning. Those moments could come back to haunt her.

Hilary clearly triumphed in the media, and in the minds of virtually everyone who followed the media reports.
At McDs in the Black areas of S and E Atlanta the same people who cheer Trump and say they will vote for Trump though they are Democrats...these same people see the same CNN that featured Trump and believe that Hilary won and the Republicans on the committee are a bunch of liars.
Is perception reality?

I am sure she was pumped up on different kinds of drugs. That is why she laughed inappropriately, and why she had a coughing fit.
It will be hard for her to get through an election campaign next year.
I would argue that until she is arrested for something related to Benghazi she did triumph. All these hearings did was show she lied, something we already knew, and apparently all we will get from it is sound bites for republican campaign ads.
All she proved to me - aside from her lies and inappropriate smiles, laughs and eyerollings - was that she has a lip-smacking relish for acronyms. The Washington- insider acronyms rolled off her tongue with self-satisfying gusto - obfuscating everything that she said.
Not in effect. They are above the law. Period. They have left a trail of broken and lost lives in their wake for 40 years.
I recall seeing her apologist spin people behave this way for many years. When defending the obviously indefensible during Travel Gate, Cattle Gate, et al, they would present a barely contained laughing behavior as the news host questions them about some unbelievable point they were trying to maintain. Mandy Grunwald comes to mind but there were others.
We know from the hearing that Hillary cleans up quite well when you hide the booze and prep her for a week, or so. What we know from history is that she can’t be trusted at all, to handle that 2:00 AM phone call. Her booze addled decisions at two in the morning have proven to be a complete disaster.

The Law: The Justice Department declined to file charges against IRS enforcer Lois Lerner, who singled out Tea Party groups for scrutiny on political grounds. With no accountability, it’s now open season on dissidents.
Is there anyone out there subject to an Internal Revenue Service audit or a multiyear delay in approval for tax-exempt status who won’t be concerned that the process is politically rigged against them?
That’s the message the Justice Department sent when, in a classic Friday night news dump, it decided to not file charges against IRS tax-exempt groups chief Lois Lerner. In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, Justice said that while it found “mismanagement, poor judgment and inertia,” there was no case for a criminal prosecution.
This is absurd. Lerner was caught red-handed targeting Tea Party and other conservative groups, wrote partisan emails to prove it, then engaged in a massive cover-up effort — with a suspiciously crashed server, an oddly missing BlackBerry and plenty of excuses.
She evaded even more accountability by shielding herself with the Fifth Amendment in Congress. The consequences to her have been . .. retirement on a full pension with all her bonuses to a multimillion-dollar mansion in the deep D.C. suburbs.
Take heart - if she becomes the next President it is proof positive that the POTUS no longer has any control over anything, and is merely a figurehead put in place by a rigged system to soothe whatever pressure group currently feels most aggrieved.
Voting rates will drop below 20% in the future, as people finally realize the game has nothing to offer them.
Yes she did, triumph, that is. She was not frogmarched out in handcuffs. She wins.
