Ted Cruz Just Responded To George Bush’s Attack In A Way That No One Saw Coming
western journalism ^ | October 21, 2015 | B. Christopher Agee

According to attendees at a recent fundraiser, George W. Bush is no fan of a fellow Texan currently competing against his brother in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

“I just don’t like the guy,” Bush reportedly said of Sen. Ted Cruz.

Despite working on Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign, some speculate Cruz angered Bush by becoming too cozy with GOP front-runner – and frequent Jeb Bush critic – Donald Trump.

Cruz has also made an effort to distance himself from George W. Bush’s policies, offering some criticism of his administration during a recent interview.

“It’s not a good thing for a Republican president to grow the national debt from $5 trillion to $10 trillion,” he said, citing such spending as the impetus for the tea party’s formation.

Regarding Bush’s reported comment at his expense, however, Cruz chose to remain gracious instead of escalating the situation. “I have great respect for George W. Bush,” he said, “and was proud to work on his 2000 campaign and in his administration.”

He concluded that it is “no surprise that President Bush is supporting his brother and attacking the candidates he believes pose a threat to his campaign,” though he made it clear he does not intend to respond in kind.

“I met my wife Heidi working on his campaign,” Cruz said, “and so I will always be grateful to him.”

Your “Dream ticket” begins with our worst nightmare: Perot II.

Cruz or lose! - A class act in a classless election cycle.

I dunno, Jedi. Somebody needs to go ballistic. There are so many glass jaws out there, America has become used to the totalitarianism as a state of mind.

Trump is the only force out there determined enough to break some jaws.

He has my vote on just the illegal immigration invasion ALONE. That crap matters and it has to be stopped, not just massaged.

W has kept his mouth shut through all the insults, lies and propaganda the Dems have thrown at him yet he finally opens his mouth against a fellow Republican? Quite telling if you ask me.

One has to wonder why the silent W never said a word about being attacked by the fairy boy or Hillary and yet feels the need to go public about him not liking Cruz.

No doubt many Democrats thought the same thing when they elected Barry.

George hurts himself by looking small. Too bad the injury to himself has to be about propping up his boring brother.

looking back at GWB, one can easily see his presidency was no bargain. He never vetoed a bill, the dems crapped all over him and he never fought back, he signed a bill saying it would be overturned by the Supremes which never happened. Anybody doubt that his old man got him a plush assignment with the TX National Guard to avoid Nam? He unleashed a hornets nest when taking down Saddam based on here say that there was weapons of mass destruction

No doubt many Democrats thought the same thing when they elected Barry.

And look what it got them.

No President has been as successful in implementing his policies as Obama has been.

Heidi Cruz is presently self employed.

Ted remains the most honest and brilliant person to serve in the US Senate in a century.

Using illegal, unconstitutional means. A GOP version of Barry is just as bad

Unfortunately tough can be only bravado and noise. Intelligence, strategy, courage and integrity get the job done.

Trump has more than 10 billions pieces of proof that he's the guy who has all that.

One can get the job done without being a bully.

Maybe, but the stakes are so high, our very way of life, our country, that I don't want to take any chances.

Blood in the air, on the floor, I don't mind at all. It's not going to be our blood.

I want my kids and grandkids to have what I've had.

I want my kids, and yours, to be the Dreamers, not some illegal law breakers.

I think you had the analogy inverted, for what its worth.

Trump and Homer have much in common.

As someone about Trumps age, I find it easy to believe his explanation as to why he’s running.

I’ve agonized over the America we are leaving for my own children and grandchildren to live in and raise their families in. Most Freepers here probably feel the same way.

America hardly resembles the one I grew up in. It’s but a shadow of its former self, with freedoms, successes, and with respect from our friends, and fear of us by our enemies, all but non-existent.

Trump said he was running so that his family wouldn’t look at him, knowing he could have fixed it, but didn’t.

His own story of building the Trump Organization shows that he knows how to build great empires. Now he wants to make all of America great again.

I think we are but the lucky side beneficiaries.
