The first American soldier to be killed fighting on the ground against ISIS was a twenty-year veteran Special Forces sergeant, it was announced today.

Master Sergeant Joshua Wheeler, 39, was killed during a raid in northern Iraq this week to rescue 69 Iraqis who were about to be executed by ISIS.

MSgt Wheeler is believed to have been a member of the Army's top secret Delta Force, and his unit was supporting Kurdish fighters in the raid on the ISIS stronghold on Hawija.

Although the US commandos were not initially planning to directly take part in the raid, when the Kurdish fighters got pinned down by ISIS they joined the fight at which point MSgt Wheeler was killed.

But Obama and his spokes-shill insist that there are no “boots on the ground,” in Iraq, as late as yesterday when specifically asked.

Their convoluted thinking and reasoning is insane.

God rest your soul Master Sergeant Joshua Wheeler! Your honorable and courageous service to your country and your comrades will not be forgotten. God comfort your loved ones and friends.

And apparently this raid did save upwards of 70 hostages who were marked for slaughter by the ISIS animals.

Most commonly CAG. But JSOC has another designation that is highly classified.
Combat
Applications
Group(Airborne).

The SEALs get all the press CAG does the mission(s) that rarely make the evening news.

A very brave man, and may be rest in peace and his family find comfort in his bravery and patriotism.

On your last statement - totally agree. I even went as far as posting yesterday that it had to be someone from 'Delta' since there was so little information at the time. Delta missions always seem to get less publicity than DEVGRU,even though both are Tier 1 Spec-ops.

They do not need the publicity. I wonder whether there were any other causalities.

Publicity is not needed, although I do wonder about how they are doing. The loss of Master Sergeant Joshua Wheeler is heartbreaking for us military families. No greater love is eternal. RIP, love and joy, and special prayers for his special brothers.
