Clinton’s testimony on Benghazi security contradicted by Pentagon

A central part of Hillary Clinton’s testimony to the legislative committee investigating the Benghazi attack is directly contradicted by the Pentagon expert who led the U.S. military’s efforts to supplement diplomatic security in Libya.

Repeating an assertion she has previously made, Clinton stated unequivocally at Thursday’s hearing that there were no recommendations from anyone within the government to close the U.S. special mission in Benghazi despite security threats.

Clinton stated “there was never a recommendation from any intelligence official in our government, from any official in the State Department or from any other person with knowledge of our presence in Benghazi to shut down Benghazi, even after the two attacks that the compound suffered.”

Well of course those folks at the Pentagon would lie to try to stymie her run for (p)resident. They're obviously trying to cover up the fact that they screwed up. We all know the hildebeast was making decisions based on the info she was receiving real time and probably was one of the first to actually view the video that started the whole thing. REALITY CHECK Blumenthal was engaged in a massive conflict of interest since he was simultaneously being paid by (a) The Clinton Foundation, (b) Hillary's 2016 organizers, and, (3) businessmen w/ interests in Libya.

If Clinton knew, her actions in circulating memos precipitated by Blumenthal was egregious. If she did not know, her recklessness is subject to US laws.

Keep in mind that---to its donors and to the world beyond---all they knew was that the Clinton Foundation hired Sid Blumenthal to..... (wait for it)..... "promote Bill's presidential legacy." That's what Sid was supposed to be doing for his $325,000 foundation salary.

Now if the Clinton Foundation Board of Trustees signed off on the Blumenthal hire without being appraised of the full scope of his duties....that would violate state laws and place the trustees in legal jeopardy.

What we didn’t know is that Hillary elaborated a bit more with the sister of Glen Doherty, telling her that she should feel sorry for the Libyan people, because they are poor and uneducated and that breeds fear and violence which led to the protest:

I did a quick summary post on it during the live Benghazi hearing thread yesterday, but I had to leave a lot out in the interest of time. Bottom line ... Blumie was pushing for war & the ouster of the Libyan gov’t under Q ... he was in on a business opportunity & the gov’t needed to topple for that scenario to work. He was in that business arrangement with 2 other guys ... THEY were the ones writing the intel reports he was sending to Hilly ... she acted on them, too.

IMHO, Gowdy’s letter to Cummings BEFORE the hearing was inspired. Gowdy took just one of self-righteous Cummings transgressions and turned it into a battering ram...demolishing all of the Democrats’ suckups to Hillary.

I have been surprised at how many folks didn’t see it or were unaware of it .... it’s a masterpiece and full of good info. The media folks were all questioning ‘why’ so much time was spent on Blumie yesterday ..... the main reason given in the hearing was that he had access to Hilly & Stevens did not. The case was not pointed out or clearly made that Blumie wanted war in Libya, actively pushed for it, & via Clinton, he got it. Someone brought up the “Clinton Doctrine”, but the link to Blumie’s meddling wasn’t as direct/clear as it should have been. Interesting that Hilly was redacting his name & especially the two guys who were providing the intel ..... she knew better than to let it out that those guys had her ear.

One other thing (I was a masochist & watched all 11 hours) ... did you happen to see the change in Hilly when the gun running subject came up? She got really still in her seat, blank face (’blankest’ look the entire hearing), very steady voice with little inflection. She was lying her @ss off .... She also denied knowing who Mark T (trying to find an article on him - he was an arms dealer & had an ‘end user’ certificate from State that was suddenly cancelled & he’s being prosecuted). Why were security requests denied and why was no help sent? The gun running operation was to be “invisible” & if security was sent, the covert operation would be disclosed. FEST was not sent ..... they would have discovered the covert operation. AFRICOM Commander General Carter Ham was not aware a CIA Annex even existed in Benghazi, at the time of the attacks.

If you have time to wade through it all, it makes a lot of sense. The committee hearing yesterday didn’t even scratch the surface .... but then Congressional ‘hearings’ rarely do. Hilly’s testimony should have been private ... but she wouldn’t agree to that because she knew they wouldn’t be able to pin her down with the Dems in full cover-up/obstruction mode & she wanted to make campaign fodder out of it. I’m sure the questions would have been sharper (more along the Jim Jordan style) if not public.
