It is no secret that Wall Street loves the Democrats.

It hit home to me when I vacationed in New England during 2008 and saw all of the Obama/Biden yard signs in the yards of the mansions on the coast.

they are buying access to a future Clinton administration.

Many business types give donations to multiple candidates, and candidates of both major parties. These donations buy them access, no matter who wins an election.

I wouldn’t read this as support for Hillary so much as wanting to be on the record as having donated to her, if she wins.

It’s the smart business move. Either Jeb or Hillary will be the next President, and Jeb’s not looking so good right now.

CEOs donate to Democrats because Democrats are more likely to do them actual harm if not paid off. Republicans will can be relied on to help them but Republicans are unlikely to actually harm them. Donating to Democrats doesn't hurt them with Republicans. Not donating to Republicans does not hurt them with Republicans. Not donating to Democrats causes much pain for them should Democrats win.

The only solution to the corruption is to remove the system that requires it i.e. eliminate the regulatory agencies and their regulations. When your business's success depends on placating regulators and licensers then your business's money goes to those who operate the regulators and licensers.

They tried payoffs to Stalin, too.

It didn’t work then, it won’t work now.

It is no secret that Wall Street loves the Democrats.

It makes sense. The Bond market dwarfs the equity markets so the more Federal, State and Local borrowing the more business for Wall Street.

Fiscal responsibility on the part of the various levels of Government is against Wall Streets' financial interest - until the entity is about to go bust at which time they offload the duds to the muppets.

G.E. paid zero in U.S. taxes. The gave the Democrats an entire network for propaganda. Obviously it paid off.
