The deaths of two adults and three young children who were in anSUV that plunged into an Arizona lake are being investigated as a murder-suicide as police said Monday that the father of the youngsters deliberately drove the vehicle into the water.
Police spokesman Lt. Mike Pooley said 27-year-old Glenn Edward Baxter purposefully drove himself, his estranged wife and their children into Tempe Town Lake just after midnight Sunday.
Witnesses and officers jumped into the lake in a bid to rescue the family.
CBS affiliate KPHO reports that deceased are identified as: Glenn Edward Baxter, 27, Danica Baxter, 25, Reighn Baxter, 3, Nazyiah Baxter, 2, and Zariyah Baxter, 1.

What about MADCF. Moms against Dept of Children and Families.
At least he didn’t have some evil. black, icky gun, then it would have been GUN VIOLENCE.
B T T T
Luckily he didn’t use a gun or someone might have gotten very badly killed.
Reighn, Nazyiah, Zariyah . . .
Are these actual names or did somebody spill the Scrabble board?
They go for high score names, too. Z’Quavious.
Here's the story of a man and his family And a big trip that they took Well, I heard all about in a restaurant And I read it in a history book They rented a car at the Erie Canal But the car didn't have no brake Said Ma to Pa "My God this car" "Is gonna fall into the Bottomless Lake" Well, Mama turned to Daddy with a pale face Said "I've done something horribly wrong" "Well, the waters still runnin' in the bathtub" And I think I left the kitchen light on" Then I heard a crash the car when splash And the compass rolled around and around Oh, for Heaven's Sake! We fell in a lake And I think we're all gonna drown [Chorus:] We are falling down Down to the bottom of a hole in the ground Smoke 'em if you got 'em I'm so scared I can hardly breathe I may never see my sweetheart again Play once after first verse There was plenty of food in the backseat And the windows were rolled up tight So we all nibbled on a chicken leg Told stories 'way thru' the night Well, Pa told one that he told before And the baby got a bellyache Said Ma to Pa "My God this car" "Falling down a Bottomless Lake" [Chorus] Poppa played the music on the radio Mama rocked the baby to sleep He said he would've taken the other road But he didn't think the lake was that deep Well, if the ferry been there at the end of the pier We'd be half way to Uncle Jake's Instead of looking at fish out the window I wish We'd hit the bottom of the Bottomless Lake 'Stead of looking at fish out the window I wish We'd hit the bottom of the Bottomless Lake So if you're ever goin' on a big trip Ya better be careful out there Start everything on you good foot And wear clean underwear Take along a Bible in the backseat Read of David and Solomon For if you make a mistake in the Bottomless Lake You may never see your sweetheart again If you should make a mistake in the Bottomless Lake You may never see your sweetheart again If you should make a mistake in the Bottomless Lake You may never see your sweetheart again
But it was a high capacity vehicle; and did he have a confederate flag sticker in the window by chance?
The mother who died worked at a place I go to all the time. They were collecting funds for the family this Monday. I didn’t know her and now I never will.
Made-up names that black people have been giving to their kids the last 30-40 years is ridiculous. More than likely, when these names show up on resumes for jobs, they probably get thrown in the garbage.
On a serious note, why is it that the perpetrator or the drunk driver who kills so many other people, seems to always escape without injury or dying themselves?
BTW, I grew up in Tempe, Arizona and went to middle school, high school and university in Tempe. I raised my family there too, until my wife and I retired and moved to rural Florida.
Considering he was black, I kinda doubt it but let’s ban it anyway.
Dreadful. RIP.
