“I JUST DON’T LIKE THIS GUY” – GEORGE W. BUSH TRASHES TED CRUZ AT JEB BUSH FUNDRAISER

nside a sleek Denver condominium, George W. Bush let a hundred donors to his brother’s campaign in on a secret. Of all the rival Republican candidates, there is one who gets under the former president’s skin, who he views as perhaps Jeb Bush’s most serious rival for the party’s nomination.

It isn’t Donald Trump, whose withering insults have sought to make Jeb pay a political price for his brother’s presidency. It also isn’t Marco Rubio, Jeb’s former understudy who now poses a serious threat to his establishment support.

“I just don’t like the guy,” Bush said Sunday night, according to conversations with more than half a dozen donors who attended the event.

One donor in the room said the former president had been offering mostly anodyne accounts of how the Bush family network views the current campaign and charming off-the-cuff jokes, until he launched into Cruz.

“I was like, ‘Holy $hit, did he just say that?’” the donor said. “I remember looking around and seeing that other people were also looking around surprised.”

This is sad. I voted twice for W, albeit reluctantly, and defended him from libtard attacks, which of course were never ending. There is no way I would ever vote for Jeb!, even before this, but unless there is a serious apology W is also dead to me.

I think the comment above that W is drinking again may be on the money. That photo is not the W we remember. That is a very shriveled, ineffectual man. He looks deflated. Empty.

The Bush League is desperately wanting the race to be between yeb and Trump. They figure Jeb will pick up all the anti Trump votes and get the nomination. What a jerk! and I thought W had class. This is starting to remind me of 1964 and the Republican treatment of Barry Goldwater. They ruined him for the general election, but Barry got a hold of the party machinery. There was another Romney (George) acting like the current Mittens.

Just between us, George, I never liked you as Ron Reagan's successor. Remember you said: “Read my lips, no new taxes?” You lied and bonded with the Donkeys to raise them and lost the presidency.

I expect he’s sore, because Dewhurst was Bush’s guy.
Wanna bet George P. Bush runs for Governor of TX in the next 10 years?

The Bush family really never liked Ronald Reagan or people that shared his sense of politics, even though their lives and fortunes were improved by him.

Consider the source: W, friend of Bill Clinton and the man who looked Putin in the eye and found him trustworthy, has been silent these seven years as Obama steadily destroyed the country. Now, because Jeb is sinking like a rock, he comes out from under his Texas painting frock to defend him and dis Cruz. He doesn’t realize it’s over...for him and baby brother.

He’ll run at the next opportunity, and MUST be stopped.

He is easily the creepiest of the entire nest:

The dems have the top places locked up.

But for worst Republican, it’s Georgie boy or Hoover. I’ll say Hoover cause the democrats became permanently stronger thanks to him.

In his first campaign, GW promised to privatize SS, not do any nation building, and to reward good educators and punish bad schools by getting money to parents to seek alternate schools.

He choked on SS reform, didn't even try. Nation building? got us to invade and occupy countries filled with lunatics with no hope of ever reforming them with no end to the warfare. Oh yeah, Islam is the religion of peace. Education? he signed off on funding pharmaceutical companies to provide mood altering drugs for hyper kids. That's the ticket, make union teachers job easy. He is the reason I left the Republican Party in 2003.

So the President who left the borders open after 911 doesn’t like Ted Cruz?

George, you know that whole thing about Presidents and retirement? It’s starting to make sense now.

Any word about Obama?

Yup. You really have to wonder after all these years, not a peep from W on Obama.

“Bush took a harsh view of Cruz’s apparent alliance with Trump, who stood with the senator at a Capitol Hill rally last month in opposition to the Iran deal”

Yep, the Establishment are starting to notice that Trump and Cruz are perhaps working together which is a threat to Yeb.

Why is this so shocking? Evidently about 94% of people surveyed don’t like the guy for President. Holding an opinion about someone does nothing to diminish the good man I believe President Bush to be.
