Same thoughts here. Have always wondered if Bush's Iraq invasion was more of a vendetta agains Saddam's assassination attempt agains GHWB.
Good bad, or ugly Saddam and his counter to Iran kept stability in the region. As I even said here in 2003, (sometimes unpopularly), we had no reason to invade Iraq, and it was a unnecessary diversion on the WOT. ISIS, and all other kinds of anarchy over there can be tied to this via dominoes.

Sorry to have to disagree, no one who acted, and acts like former President Bush could be considered to be in any way decent. Decent leaders don’t send our young people to die and a fool’s mission of “nation building.” The cold fact of the matter is, is that the entire Middle East is a shambles and it’s all attributable to GWB’s ill-conceived policies. The Iraq War was a consequence of and coverup for the sorry state of affairs in our government that started under Slick Willie and continued until 911 under Boosh. He got Saddam, the guy who threatened “daddy,” but the price was way, way too high. As far as “miss me yet,” no, and I don’t miss your father and Slick either.

Ted Cruz gave one of the classiest and nicest response to a presidential attack that I’ve ever read. He sort of dismissed W’s remarks the way Obama does when Iranian leaders are filmed screaming “Death 2 America!!”
Cruz showed a hell of a lot more class than I would have shown or have for that matter.
Ever since we were able to hold the line on his piece of chit amnesty plan he has had a real hard on for all things and people who are conservative.
