Syrian rebels say receive more weapons for Aleppo battle

Rebels battling the Syrian army and its allies near Aleppo said on Monday they had received new supplies of U.S.-made anti-tank missiles from states opposed to President Bashar al-Assad since the start of a major government offensive last week.

The rebels from three Free Syrian Army-affiliated groups contacted by Reuters said new supplies had arrived in response to the attack by the army, which is backed up by Russian air strikes and on the ground by Iranian fighters and Lebanon's Hezbollah.

The "Free Syrian Army" refers to a loose affiliation of groups fighting Assad that do not operate with a centralised command and control structure and have been widely eclipsed by jihadist groups such as the Nusra Front and Islamic State.

The delivery of the U.S.-made TOW missiles to rebels in Aleppo and elsewhere in Syria appears to be an initial response to the new Russian-Iranian intervention. Foreign states supporting the rebels include Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar.

New US-made weapons for the Snackbars...

Gee I wonder where those came from? About 50 tons worth?

Lots of Twitter reports in the last two hours that the Syria Army/Hez has entered Aleppo itself, with Russian Air Cover and heavy fighting. Seems the Russians are moving to cut ISIS off from the Turkey Border, their main source of supply/income.

Notice they’re not going after ISIS like this. Assad’s never gone after them in the same way.

The Syrians/Russians moved across the deserts south of Idlib and Aleppo over the weekend, capturing several towns from the Rebels and ISIS, and setting up the attack on Aleppo from the south.

Haven’t you been following the latest Orwellian NewSpeak from the Obamunists?

They have been relabeled as the “Syrian Democratic Forces” now. You cannot be against DEMOCRACY, can you?

Don't be shy about giving credit where credit is due.

Ø is helping too... providing materials and weapons that will shortly be in Russian and Iranian hands.

If Iraq swings into this coalition camp, I wonder if the remnants of John McCain’s pet terrorists and ISIS could be driven into Saudi Arabia, sort of like the Mongols’ great hunt? I think Saudi Arabia deserves the back flush of these armed sociopaths.

In the meantime, anti-terrorist militias should be pretending to be ISIS etc. to the western nations, so they can get some of Uncle Sugar’s treats.

The Saudis seem to have anticipated that possibility and have been busy building a fence along its 600 mile border with Iraq.

Remember Ike's warning about the military-industrial complex?

Now we have Barack "The Worthless Idiot" Obama arming two of the three warring factions in a seemingly endless war.

That's one way to create American jobs - at the munitions factories.

The FSA will soon all be dead or defected over to ISIS, along with the weapons we dropped for them. There is no doctrinal diff between FSA and ISIS, only operational diffs.

Neither FSA or ISIS has an aircraft, drone, ELINT or satellite presence, which means they will eventually not survive. And then Syria/Iraq will be a Russia/Iran superhighway on the way to Jerusalem.
