The only actual “cruz” that will succor in the end is the loving ministration of Christ by virtue of His sacrifice on the Cross (cruz in Spanish).
Who will best facilitate this work, which must be willingly embraced, it cannot be legislated upon a people? Trump has the virtue of combating public apathy across a surprisingly wide spectrum of citizens. By poll, at least, most people in America are Christian at least in name. Trump’s status as believer or not has less impact here than the citizens’ caring participation. The bible never said righteousness exalts a government; the bible says righteousness exalts a nation. The responsible parties are named right at the top of the US constitution: “We The People.”
Meaning, we are responsible for holding our elected officials accountable for their actions.
I think people are finally getting it though .. because they had witnessed such a terrible nightmare when they don’t do their job .. because that leaves the “elected” to whatever the hell they want.
And .. I believe both Trump and Cruz are the type of person who recognizes those facts.
