...a high-profile event in New York City hosted by Ivanka Trump and her husband, businessman Jared Kushner.

According to RollCall.com, Trump and Kushner have bundled contributions totaling more than $40,000 for Booker's campaign...

Trump's involvement with a Democratic campaign is a sharp contrast to her family's tendency to side with Republican candidates in the past.

In 2012, she and real estate mogul father Donald Trump praised Mitt Romney's business sense and endorsed him in the presidential election against Barack Obama.

How is she switching teams? She sounds right on course. Chip of the old block.

So Ivanka is running for something now? Like Billy Carter or Meghan McCain?

Don’t worry. Trumpamatons have two responses to unpleasant facts: “It doesn’t matter!” or “It’s all part of a brilliant scheme that our Trump will reveal to his true followers in his good time.”

I don’t think Billy Carter or Meghan McCain ran for anything.

Trumpamatons?

Wow. Did you come up with that one all by yourself? Did mommy give you an extra cookie for that one? (Or did she really think of it for you?)

Anyway, it’s good. You should put it up on your basement bedroom door, something like Trumpamatons Not Welcome Here.

Hahahahahahahahah

The Don keeps praising her in every speech and saying she’s going to be coming out campaigning for him more now. If he said that about Cory Booker or Chelsea Clinton would you dismiss that too?

There’s a lot of development opportunity in NJ and Booker probably had/has some juice in Ne’rk to get Kushner some sweetheart deals. Just a guess.

That Democrats relatives should be protected and off limits to media criticism?

Since Ivanka would be the person acting as first lady if Trump were elected, I guess the media can cover her...

I plan on voting for Trump if he is the nom. And I’ll continue to question his positions unlike the followers here. Followers would drink muslim vomit if ordered by the LEADER!!! Some ot the comments remind me of Rand/Ron Paul followers or Scientologists......

Fail (her not you, Jedi).

Steve Lonegan (R) could have won that race with more support.

Interesting article with a bit at the end about Ivanka trying to get her father to recant the illegal Mexican criminal element comment. Donald basically ignored her and did his own thing. I guess she decided to do the same. It’s probably impossible for her to move in her social circles and not be swayed by liberalism if she is the type of person who needs acceptance, either personally or professionally.

“Since Ivanka would be the person acting as first lady if Trump were elected”

I saw the same idea a few days ago on FR. Did I miss something? Why wouldn’t Donald’s wife be first lady?

Did Reagan praise Ron Jr. in his speeches or have him introduce him and do media interviews promoting his campaign?

Assuming Ron Jr. was “out” as a liberal by 1984.

The Ivanka as first lady talk was probably spurred by this article. It portrays Melania as shy and reticent, and Ivanka as putting herself out there.

Personally, I don’t see this idea holding up. Shy first ladies are often very popular and the public knows who is the real first lady.
