Conservatives sharpen knives over Ryan’s immigration past
Politico ^ | 10/16/2015 | By SEUNG MIN KIM

Paul Ryan is still reluctantly mulling a bid for speaker. But his adversaries on the far right want to discredit his campaign before it even begins — and they’re using Ryan’s extensive pro-immigration record as their key weapon.

From his days battling a restrictive California immigration ballot measure in the early 1990s, to his quiet efforts the past two years to help build GOP consensus for immigration reform, Ryan has a lengthy history of pushing for an overhaul that runs counter to the most conservative wings of his own party.

There will be a “major intraparty battle over immigration if Paul comes forward,” predicted Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), a well-known immigration hard-liner, in an interview this week. “And a majority of the conference is on my side of this argument.”

No matter who ultimately succeeds outgoing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), there is a near-zero chance that Congress will take up comprehensive immigration changes during the remainder of President Barack Obama's administration. But Ryan’s business-centric approach in favor of boosting legal immigration and letting undocumented immigrants “get right with the law” are anathema to the far right who believe Ryan is no different than Boehner himself, who has fruitlessly tried since 2012 to persuade House Republicans to pass reforms.

Indeed, Ryan’s track record on immigration runs at least two decades deep. And during Congress' failed attempt at comprehensive reform the past two years, Ryan wielded significant influence behind the scenes — from keeping tabs on closed-door House negotiations to meeting privately with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), a key leader in the Senate on an immigration overhaul.

Crap. I thought he said no. If he ends up Speaker, I hate this country. Yep I said it. If no conservative is willing to step up to take this position and Ryan ends up with it, the country is over anyway. I hate how conservatives brag about being in power but when given the opportunity on a silver plate, they are all hiding under their desks leaving Boehner to postpone retirements. Where are the leaders in the House? Oh that’s right not one among them.

If Republicans pass anything like ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ AKA amnesty - we need to run people against every Republican who voted for it.

What the GOPe hasn’t figured out is they’re in the majority in Congress, but NOT in the county. We can and will vote them out of office if they pay footsies with democrats.

I will never forgive Paul Ryan for his 2013 budget that took funding from Military Retirement and gave it illegal aliens. Such a stunt would have been normal for Democrats, but when it was done by Republicans, it showed military retirees that we have no representation in Congress.

We’re not even talking about immigration, we’re talking about illegal aliens.
Fraudulently documented foreigners in our country against the law.
Breaking laws daily.
After they broke in.

And the weasels who want to change the laws to benefit those breaking them need to be Cantorized.

If you are represented by a weasel who caters to illegal aliens and their employers, Cantorize him/her. ( I added the her specifically for Renee Elmers, she is a weasel and needs to be Cantorized)

There is no reason to be represented by a multi-national politician.

Wash them taters,
Peel or not as personnally desired.
Steam em thil tender.
Place in large bowel, with a hand masher smash em but not too much,
Add a litle milk (whole milk, not that 2percent crap), add a little butter and continue to mash until you like.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Place bowel uncovered in hot oven til desired, that should slightly brown the top.
Wee needs a brutus.
