Despite some recent gains on the 2016 campaign trail, Gov. Chris Christie has plummeted among his own party’s 2016 preferences back home, according to the latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll. Similar to national polls, 32 percent of New Jersey Republican and GOP-leaning registered voters choose businessman Donald Trump for their party’s nomination. Trump tops the list for the second straight Rutgers-Eagleton Poll. Meanwhile Christie’s New Jersey GOP support has been cut in half since August, when he was in second place at 12 percent. With just 5 percent of Republican voters naming him, Christie now trails Dr. Ben Carson and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, both at 13 percent, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 6 percent. While tied when results are rounded, he comes in sixth in mentions between former CEO Carly Fiorina and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, each also at 5 percent.

Then I suggest people run because when Christie’s fall stops he’s gonna splatter a lot of crap everywhere and leave a huge hole.

Carson is at 21%. What happened?
Cruz was double digits! What happened?
Rubio at 13%? In what universe?
I’d be surprised if Carson really gets 13%.
Remember a few weeks back, Fiorina was the wonder Woman?
IMO, so goes Carson.
The good news for Cruz is that he is still standing strong at 5%.
Of course that’s the bad news for Cruz too.
If he’s moving at run speed, it’s in a wheelchair going down-hill.

Virtually all of them, save Trump and Carson are on life support, and yet they will not get out because they’re still getting GOPe donor money with some failed idea that by staying in, they are going to collectively “bring down” Trump. What a passel of sick bastards we have in what’s left of the GOP. All of them “pledge allegiance” to their wallets each and every day.

NOT one of these people should be re-elected back into office, vote for the ‘new’ ones...the ones that don't have a politicial super pac behind them....
I’ve thought of that ticket also, I’ll have to see how Cruz takes it when Trump bites back on him...you know Cruz will take a swing on Trump....

The poll surveyed 935 R voters from October 3-10, MOE 3.9%.
So it is a big sample size. Yes. With all these state polls, we are seeing a truer picture that Trump is really well into the 30s nationally, and Carson is several points lower nationally.
