Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is now virtually even with retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson in a new Fox News poll on the 2016 race, but the brash billionaire has pulled ahead of former front-runner Jeb Bush in one critical category.
Carson has seen his support multiply in recent polls, including Fox's latest survey, while Trump's support has deflated to the point where he now leads Carson by a single point among registered Republican voters, 24 to 23 percent.
The bad news extends to Jeb Bush's campaign, where for the first time, the former Florida governor actually rates worse than Trump on a key question - when asked to rank candidates whom they would 'never' vote for, Bush came in at 22 percent.
Trump, the previous leader on that question at 59 percent as recently as early June, has fallen to 18 percent in that category.

I’m still all for Senator Cruz—but probably won’t get a chance to vote for him. Trump doesn’t move me much. We need a true Reagan conservative if we have a chance of undoing all the harm that obammy has done……...
I guess Fox can now use polling data in an attempt to shape public opinion with the best/rest of them.
I hate Jeb so much, I would possibly pull the lever for Hillary if he were the only choice.
Where are all these Carson voters? Is Carson truly running nearly even with Trump? Seems unlikely.
The poll was MAI (made as instructed) by Murdoch who suffers from ABT syndrome. The post debate coverage by Babycakes and Hume on FNC was unwatchable. Murdoch wants Clinton with Bush out of the race.
I can’t say I’d go that far! I would just not vote. I’ll vote for other races, but Jeb just will not get my vote. I couldn’t do it and feel I have a clean conscience.
I'm a little surprised at the appeal of Carson, though. He's certainly no JFK-like speaker. I mentioned in another thread that I saw a Carson bumper sticker on a car this morning. The occupants of the car were black. I wonder if Carson might be enticing some blacks to desert the 'rat plantation?
Don’t be too sure about that. I’m a total Cruz girl and I wouldn’t be so quick to count him out. The only 2 candidates who haven’t gone after each other are Trump and Cruz and I think there is something with those 2 that we aren’t privy to.
Cruz. If he is not on the ballot I will vote for Trump. I will not for vote any other.
If Trump gets the nomination, I would be a bit happier if he made Cruz his running mate-—
Trump just doesn’t move me enough to be excited about him.
