It should be clear by now that the Republican establishment will not fold without a fight.
GOPe may not put up much of a fight against Barack Obama but when their power base is threatened they will stop at nothing.
Yesterday a Jeb Bush plant attacked Donald Trump during his appearance at the No Labels Conference in New Hampshire.
It seems that the Republican establishment uses a principle that God also uses for the Bible reveals that God will not fold without a fight:
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I [God] will pour out my spirit unto you, I [God] will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I [God] have called, and ye refused; I [God] have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I [God] also will laugh at your calamity; I [God] will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

Those two are very much "establishment republicans". The contrast between them and Chris Plante is stark.
These people are a pox on the body politic. They're loudmouthed, ignorant, and arrogant; they have way too much time on their hands and nothing good to do with it.
Good heavens, just watch him before he took to the stage! Did he know that the camera was on him while the gentleman was giving the cursory introduction? Other than a momentary grin at someone in the front row, Jeb looked like he was about to tear someone’s head off!
I’m no politician (thank God!), but even I would have the sense to know you don’t telegraph your feelings like that if you’re standing there out front!
He looked kind of angry and paranoid.

I watched a few more times. Before he took to the mike, he really did look that way. I also watched the men around him carefully; they appeared very ill at ease, as if they'd all had an extremely bad staff meeting that morning. The bald fellow with the beard looked like he'd swallowed a quart of Maalox. The young guy with the jug ears (chewing gum) - maybe security based on his build - kept scanning the audience, then ducked behind the stage; making sure Squeaky wasn't anywhere near? :-)
Other than the fellow at the beginning who shook Jeb's hand - a St. Anselm host? - no one, NO ONE on the side of the stage was happy!
At one point, just before taking the mike, Jeb put his palm down in a gesture of "Stop!" or "Wait!"
Very strange.
The hat in that picture atop Jeb always cracks me up.

The plant is a dead ringer for her though.

That look he gives Trump, just before he gets up on his tippy toes, is the same weird look he was making before his speech, today. Issues, indeed.

Wouldn't surprise me. I remember in '84, they took Mondale off of his blood pressure meds because they thought it was making him too "mellow".
