Ted Cruz greets supporters at Iowa Central Community College in Ft Dodge (Roger Riley WHO-HD)
FORT DODGE, Iowa — Sen. Ted Cruz is back in Iowa to continue his campaign for the White House.
Cruz is spending three days in Iowa working to gain the support of Republican voters.
During remarks to the media Cruz said he is looking forward to the Democratic Debate this week.
“It may be more questions than Hillary Question has answered this entire campaign,” said Cruz. The subject of Donald Trump always comes up in media interviews with the Texas Senator.
“I like Donald Trump, when everybody else has gone out of their way to smack Donald Trump, I have not,” said Cruz. “Im glad hes running for President. but Ive also said I’m running for president I believe Im going to be the nominee.”
Cruz is also to appear in Rockwell City, Sac City and finishes out Mondays events with a rally in Sioux City with Sen. Chuck Grassley and Congressman Steve King.
Cruz places third in the latest CBS poll of Republican presidential candidates, behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson.
Looks like Cruz 2016 at least tells the truth as to crowds.
He can draw a crowd but this current campaign tour appears to be mostly very small towns.
Small towns...good strrategy. Start small gin up support and then go bigger nearer the finish line. Looks like a long game play to me.
Small towns are a network that spread information far beyond their own local boundaries without ever relying on the media.
Well, he is in Iowa. He NEEDS to be in those small towns as they all have people who participate in the caucus.
He was in Rockwell City today and that’s about as far off the interstate you can get in Iowa.
