Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton will be center stage on Tuesday night for the Democratic presidential candidates' first debate, according to the podium order released by CNN, which is hosting the event.
The position of the five candidates on the stage at the CNN Facebook Democratic Debate in Las Vegas is based on polls since Aug. 1 and was announced on CNN's "State of the Union."
On either side of Clinton, the highest-polling candidate, are Bernie Sanders (to Clinton's right) and Martin O'Malley (to her left). Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee, the fourth- and fifth-placing candidates, bookend the stage.

aw I was SO hoping that Loopy Joe would be on the “bill”
Gee look at that lineup..the Democrat Party that is always trashing the GOP for being a bunch of “Old White Men” but look at the Democrat Party Debate lineup, nothing but a bunch of old white men, and a murderer, guess which one Im talking about
And don’t forget - the one in the center is under criminal investigation.
Looks like a bunch of old rich white people to me. Tell me again how were not a party of diversity?
Expect Webb to impress.
He may become the Carly of the Dem race.
Remember that first 6 months of that torrid, passionate love affair, long ago, (remember it’s name?), before reality set in?
This is what this will be, CNN and DNC, no wrong seen, heard or felt.
“Hillary do you wear granny’s or thongs?” (sorry for the visual)
I will be guilty of watching, I want to know the answer to the underwear question.
Still, Hillary has baggage, so does O'Malley (Dems must like taking furniture with them when they leave office). O'Malley got his at a very steep discound; i.e., it was a "steal". Sanders too old socialist just what we don't need. Don't know about the other Dems.
I guess we've crossed the Rubicon. It's not likely we will get any Dem that would be tolerable from here on out. People say there isn't any difference between the two parties. That's a lie.
Obama “pardoned” her today. See my #8.
Hillary in the hot seat?
I totally forgot about Webb and that O’Malley fellow. And Lincoln Chafee? They just needed some names to set off Sanders and the woman, I think.
Are these guys afraid of Hillary Clinton? Will the gloves come off or stay on? Will the T.V. be turned on or stay off?
Isn’t Chafee the guy who is running on the metric system...?
That should be very exciting...!
He's the only one on that stage with any real-life experience. All the rest of them are just Simpson characters.
But it all depends on the questions the moderators ask. The right questions could make Hillary look like a genius and make Webb look like a goofball.
He's the one that can get 1/10th of a vote?
What are the best questions for Hillary? Will CNN forget to ask the questions that should be answered?
Yeah, sure isn’t any ethnic diversity there is there! Five white male scum suckers! It’s times like these that I have a scintilla of sympathy for Slick. When you listen to her, you know why he’s always on the make!
If Joe is going to run, I’d love to see him announce it on Tuesday afternoon, just hours before the debate...
I hesitate to answer that in case CNN monitors Free Republic, but here goes:
Secretary Clinton, there is a glass ceiling that prevents women from getting ahead in America. What will you do to change that?
Secretary Clinton, Republican representative Kevin McCarthy has admitted that his Benghazi hearings were designed to damage you personally. Can you ever forgive such behavior?
--------------
These types of questions are, of course, softball garbage. But that's what I expect to hear.
Republican candidates get asked questions about how bad Republicans are. Democrat candidates get asked questions about how bad Republicans are.
I can understand why Democrat candidates like these questions. But I'll NEVER understand why Republican candidates put up with it. If I were a Republican candidate, I'd DEMAND that Mark Levin and Mark Steyn be on the panel.
