Matt Bevin Statement on Closing of Kentucky Health Cooperative
Matt Bevin ^ | 10/11/2015

Posted on 10/11/2015 11:33:22 AM PDT by Republican Wildcat

Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Bevin issued the following statement regarding the closure of Kentucky Health Cooperative, Inc.

"This financial debacle is a direct result of Obamacare, which Governor Beshear was too quick to embrace. Even though it is a disaster for Kentucky taxpayers, Jack Conway still says he would have been proud to vote for Obamacare," said Bevin.

"It is the job of the attorney general to watch out for Kentucky consumers. Where has Jack Conway been in investigating this catastrophic co-op? Once again, Jack is playing political games instead of doing his job. The tragic result is that 51,000 Kentuckians will lose coverage and have to look for a new option because no one was watching out for them," Bevin continued.

"As I have stated since announcing my candidacy, Obamacare is a mess and is financially unsustainable. I've proposed specific solutions to address the looming financial crisis that the next governor will face," said Bevin. "Jack Conway, meanwhile, is just twiddling his thumbs, hiding behind false attack ads and trying to fool the voters. He wants to continue down this reckless path of Obamacare, while ignoring the cost. Kentucky deserves better than career politician, Jack Conway."

Yup. Now watch Bevin get trashed by the entire Ruling Class oligarchy and their Praetorian Media sycophant Squadristi for daring to speak the truth.

Every candidate should take bama’s cue and politicize the hell out of ocrapocare. Put the msm and the clintons on the defensive for once. Just keep hammering on it till the day before election day.

A few points down, if the polls are correct.

Dunno. The media here is as corrupt and biased as the D.C. media so what they tell us poll results are is as unreliable as anything else they spew. But then, this is the Commonwealth that put McConnell back into the Senate in a landslide - so it would not surprise me that the Socialst stooge the DNC put up for this state wins hands down.

Polls have Conway up 5-10% over Bevin all around.

I never fully understood Kentucky politics. The Commonwealth tends to vote GOPe for President and Congress but Democrat for State offices.

Governor Beshear illegally set up the OC exchange via executive order because the legislature wouldn’t approve it. Our Constitution clearly makes this a legislative function.

The idiot Republicans went to court instead of asserting their legislative powers. By the time it got a final hearing we had the usual BS: it’s already set up, too far along to shut down. And the court ruled (of course) that Beshear’s EO was legal.

I quit following the whole fiasco because I knew it would play out exactly as it did. My reps campaign as conservatives, make a big deal of it. After reelection it’s same old stuff. Neither one, IMO, has any real concept of limited government.

The majority here are still “My Daddy was a Democrat…” and the majority still believe the lie that the Democrats are the party of the ‘little guy’. This is NOT a Red State as some would like to think. It is a YELLOW state. Yellow-Dog Democrat to be precise.

They tend to vote Conservative on national issues, but for local - if you are not a Democrat - it is highly unlikely you can even get elected dog catcher.

However, in a post-Constitutional Amerika - elections no longer really matter.

Horrible campaigner, but getting better, and while still behind, gaining traction.

Here's a primer on Obamacare as explained by Trump:

Good reason to vote for him on this issue alone.

The donor class doesn’t seem to open their wallets for the state candidates, which I don’t particularly understand - they are only setting up the Federal office holders to have stronger opponents in the future.
