The visit of the Saudi official to Moscow against the backdrop of Russia's anti-terrorist operation in Syria, which Saudi Arabia remains vehemently opposed to, may indicate Riyadh's willingness to compromise with Moscow. Saudi Arabia hopes to change Moscow's attitude towards the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, promising strategic partnership and multi-billion-dollar projects.

I read a lot of history, and I can’t think of any major power ever pursuing a worse foreign policy. To call it incoherent would attribute more sense to it than actually exists.
Obama didn’t like a strong USA wielding influence as a world leader.
Now, thanks to his Fundamental Transformation and the Yellow Stripe down his back we are pretty much inconsequential.
That, and they’re gonna ask Russia to please quit killing their muscle (ISIS), and in return they’ll quit screwing with oil prices.
Something about this I find disturbing.
I think the Saudi’s could be dealing with the Russians regarding our preferred currency status with them, which would be in response to the cheap oil caused by domestic oil production, and end, with Russian cooperation, ending in higher world oil prices.
