Can Rubio's lean campaign keep up with Bush's behemoth?

Hundreds of donors to Jeb Bush's presidential campaign will gather later this month in Houston. They'll shake hands with a pair of former presidents, and high-profile lieutenants of the former Florida governor will push them to write generous checks.

This weekend in Las Vegas, dozens of donors met up with Marco Rubio. They ate fast-food hamburgers, shook hands with a celebrity pawn-shop owner and played flag football with the Florida senator.

"I'd say he threw five interceptions, maybe three or four touchdown passes," Wayne Berman, Rubio's national finance chairman, said playfully. "There were a lot of middle aged guys trying to show off."

[snip]

Bush hasn't yet said what he raised between July 1 and Sept. 30, but he's thanked supporters in an email that said the campaign beat its fundraising goal. Rubio's early numbers are in — and they aren't good.

Big Media still sees Bush as the yardstick against which all campaigns need to be measured. They really, really want Bush to get the nod but still haven't figured out how to orchestrate it.

Bush is with around 4% which is generous and yet the Drive Bys hector Trump to drop out of the race.

If Bush was the front-runner, they’d be declaring the nomination over.

The GOPe has their own race going. Who wins that race determines who they will force on us as the winner.

True, but since the msm, GOPe, and RNC still makes and retains the ‘right’ to change the rules midstream, they will surely navigate their way to a Jeb nomination.

Which is why Trump should abandon the Republican Party and go Independent.

The only way Rubio, Cruz, etc., will be on the ticket is if Jeb picks them for a Veep position.

Can The Cheap Labor Express Fool Enough People?

¡Yeb! and Rubberio have made it clear that they are not with the citizens and the rule of law. They are with the illegal aliens and their employers.

The minimum requirement for the next President is upholding the rule of law.

About the only thing RINOs can do is fight over who can best implement Obama’s third term.

Orchestrate or choreograph, they’re looking to tee up an easy one for Hillary or Joe to putter into the hole with ease.

“Yes, the can both run for last place.”

And the even better thing going on here is that they are draining money out of all the GOPe donors. Trump proves the point that when you have the right message, you don’t have to buy the electorate. It tickles the crap out of me to see the money they MSM is raking in solely because of Trump’s candidacy. They must be completely conflicted making all that money from a guy they hate! I can’t wait to see them all with long faces the day Trump wins.

Abandoning will serve no purpose other than scare people who logically cannot connect this much of a change to reality

He cannot change horses in mid stream, the damage to him as well as decent candidates we can support would be in my opinion, disastrous...

The press hasn’t gotten used to not having control of the narrative anymore. They are still trying to pretend they choose the candidates.

It stinks of CBS and Ratherclones trying to find a way—any way—to call it for algore back in 2000, but here they’re trying to ignore Trump and Cruz.
This is `74 redux. And it isn’t just the GOP that’s changing after this election. The MSM is going to have to get its mind right if it wants to survive.

I doubt the old media can survive; they don’t grasp the need. With the internet’s new media and the numbers of cable cutters rapidly increasing, their influence is decreasing faster than their ability to understand why.

“The GOPe has their own race going. Who wins that race determines who they will force on us as the winner.”

It’s happened twice, so I’m not at all sure why it wouldn’t happen again.
In both 2008 and 2012, here in Indiana we woke up one morning to find that the GOP candidate had been chosen without even the need for us to vote in our own primary.

If they do it a third time—shuck another one of their losers on us, particularly tip-toeing Jebediah Bush, no more Republican straight ticket for this kid—the GOP is dead to me.

Yep, I am one of those Hoosiers too. Almost never vote in the primary because the next RINO is usually determined before the primary.

Electiona shouldn’t be that way. Damn, anymore they don’t even bother campaigning anywhere other than swing states.

I would tend to agree with you but, as I alluded before, my belief is that by hook or crook the Establishment will see to it that Jeb Bush ends up getting the nod. Therefore Trump, Rubio, Fiorina, Cruz and the rest have only one hope if they are to stay running as a Republican - Jebs’ Vice Presidential pick.

That leaves only two options. Either go Independent and launch a campaign that way, or the rank and file voter has a massive write-in vote, where one of them bests Jeb.

Since it hasn’t happened by now, it likely won’t ever happen anyway. But in my view, this is the only way Trump or Cruz will get to run in the general election.

Visibility, if it starts smelling like a dead fish we know The Fix is in...

Besides, Jeb is really sitting on the MOE in many polls, making up that much ground would be way too much...

Especially since he is so exciting...

Because of Texas and other states with sore loser laws, if they do not win the nomination, they will not be able to run third party and win.
