I'm an atheist, and I agree with you. I'm so damned sick and tired of my fellow atheists behaving like attention whores.
If you want to win friends and influence people and you're an atheist, just live a good life and not piss people off.

Create some very ugly and offensive anti-Islamic literature. Put their names and addresses on it, and distribute it in known Muslim radical areas.
