Here is a line of BS:
“His family lives in Wisconsin, and this gig will involve Ryan spending more time in Washington. That has to be a big negative consideration for Ryan”
Where was he going to be VP from had they won?
He clearly doesn’t want this job and is saying so in as many ways as possible.
Excellent!
Excellent!
Only the GOPe wants him. I’ll take Webster over him, but would prefer Jim Jordan.
Just what we need . . . a speaker who lost a debate to Joe Biden and got rolled by Patty Bin Murray, the dumbest member of the U.S. Senate.
Faux pimped him from jump street before McCarthys corpse had even lost its pink
Heritage Action gives Ryan a 57% rating. Not good.
The GOP average in the house is 68%.
Doesn’t want to be thrown into the briar patch.
Loser.
Lyin Paul Ryan’s BFF immigration reform buddy, Rep Luis Guitierrez, was just on MSNBC standing up for Ryan as Speaker....saying this....
“Ryan is the one who WILL work with Democrats”
“There is an extreme group of 40 -45 Republican Reps who will be against Ryan...they are the extreme group that wants gays to back into the closet, women to back to the kitchen...they want to take America back to pre-Civil Rights days”....blah, blah....bleh!!!
If Lyin’ Ryan has Guitierriez’ support, you know it HAS to be bad!!
If the RINOs compromise with the conservatives it doesn’t matter who is Speaker.
A RINO Speaker may even help get more compromise from the RINOs because they’ll trust him.
Or it may be DDSS...
I truly do not understand the vehemence with which the RINOs fight the conservatives and their own constituencies.

The Cheap Labor Express owns Ryan and those backing him.
This is a fight for the soul of the GOP.
The Cheap Labor Express would rather see the party burned to the ground than conservatives take over.
Have never been particularly impressed with Paul Ryan and was never impressed with Eric Cantor. They both come across like stiff, ridgid senior auditors from the IRS. We need a speaker who is at least somewhat personable and definitely an effective communicator.
We haven’t had that since Newt Gingrich and he did manage to accomplish some things through persuasion and being able to speak out effectively on the issues. About all we’ve had since is a bunch of insider players with near zero skill as effective public spokesmen. Ryan looks like more of the same.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seems that they view the entire House power structure as being almost set in stone at this point. In other words, anyone that does not get the "blessing" of the establishment powers that be, can't get close to breaking into leadership. Closed club, totally run by the establishment power brokers both within and outside of the House.
No more RINOs from the North.
We cannot take any more Boehners or Hasterts.
Recall Hastert came about as a compromise candidate when Livingston got caught.
“We havent had that since Newt Gingrich and he did manage to accomplish some things through persuasion and being able to speak out effectively on the issues”
Gingrich is the only effective GOP Speaker in 100 years.
He comes from the South, which is no coincidence.
No more Northerners need apply.
If he had won VP, I assume the family would have gone to Washington and lived at the VP mansion at the Naval Observatory. If he were VP, he would not have needed to maintain a dwelling in his home district. He is not a wealthy politician. He has his salary and that’s it. He can’t afford a house in DC and one in Wisconsin.
