Wow I did not need Eric “Karl Rove’s Bitch” Erickson to report what has been know for weeks. The only thing bigger then our National Debt is Erickson’s ego.

The affair. Or maybe those NSA files that the RATs have been using to control the GOPe got into the hands of the conservatives.

(R-NC)Heritage Action Scorecard Rep. Renee Ellmers (51% House Republican AverageSee Full Scorecard 51%) worked tireless[ly] to scuttle the legislation then had the temerity to claim she actually would vote for if only it would come to the floor.

I don't know if there is anything to the rumor, and since McCarthy dropped out it need not be pursued. But of all the Congresswomen to be linked with . . . her?! Yuch!

McCarthy withdrew because he didn't have conservatives' support.

But even if it's true McCarthy still did not have the Republican votes!

Ellmers’ comments sound like those of a woman scorned.

I’m on that email list. Read ‘em all.

How much effect the emails had is a complete unknown though.

Because it was all over the web anyway.

The Ellmers story is not new. It was first reported back in January but then quietly hushed up, until now.

We are being snookered here.

This just means Boehner will stay until conservatives have enough votes to nominate someone else.

1.) Conservatives threaten to vote to oust Boehner if he conspires with the Dems.

2.) Boehner worries they might succeed and he preemptively resigns

3.) Conservatives say they won’t support his hand picked heir and will put up their own candidate.

4.) GOPe says there will be a deadlock and it will hurt the party.

5.) Conservatives say they might go along with the GOPe pick if they change party rules and give more power to conservative leaders

6.) GOPe candidate pulls out so that we are stuck with Boehner until the conservatives come up with a candidate who can gain enough votes.

This really is a chess match and shows the levels of gamesmanship the Republicans will use when it comes to something they REALLY want.

Gain Power and Control? - They will move mountains to attain it.
Save babies from slaughter? - They will have a “show vote” and pretend they tried.

At least he wasn’t with a dude.

Boehner is enough of a CS for one lifetime.
