Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson addressed the controversy over his statement regarding the Oregon shooting, stating, they didnt show the whole question on Wednesdays Hannity on the Fox News Channel.

Anyone running for president that doesn’t realize they will do this, and then has to frame their responses is ill prepared for the hateful spite that is going to come their way once in office. Come on, Ben!
Damn drive by media. Oh wait. Friendly fire?
Apparently “the media” takes a huge role in selecting our leaders. I’m not sure how to fix that, unless it’s having aggregation and analysis sites like FR, Drudge, Lucianne, DU, and the others.
America is positively HOOKED on irresponsible journalism
How, exactly, would you preempt a mendacious abuse of your language and intentions? It is not as if one can craft words that are incapable of being misunderstood or twisted by those who are intent on misrepresenting you.
IMHO, he, and Trump, are doing exactly the right thing by coming out immediately when this happens and hitting back at the tactics used. Most of the country club ‘genteel’ Republicans would respond to this with the ineffective ‘just don't respond and it will go away’ approach. To do that has been proven over and over again to be political suicide. When people keep trying to pull you down in the mud you have to be willing to figuratively throw the mud back at them.
If he goes on CNN, they’ll make him white
Carson was pitched a softball, “Yes, I’d stand up for Jesus and be with the Lord that day. We all pray for the families during this horrible time.” Then pivot to, “But it’s a shame that Obama has chosen to politicize this issue. It was a ‘gun free’ zone’ and this shows that taking away guns doesn’t work...”
Instead, he chose to get into the specific decision making of 18, 19 year old kids with guns pointed at them, watching their teacher’s head get shot...
Carson has too many unforced errors. I like him. He’s good overall for our party. But he’s a Surgeon General, not presidential material.
“Carson has too many unforced errors.”
It’s not a baseball game.
And....? Come on Ben! It is not good enough to simply state the facts, you have to forcefully draw conclusions and then tell what it means. You have the ammo now shoot!
It is salesmanship 101. State the “features” then tell the the “benefits.”
(Feature/fact) “They didn't show the whole question.”
Benefit/implications) “This shows the media is manipulating information to suit their agenda. The media is biased unfair and corrupt. The media cannot be trusted. They are abusing their 1st Amendment rights and perverting fair and free elections.”
Don't stop by just describing what we can plainly see for ourselves. Tell us in your own words what it means and why it is important.
Now Carson says he was held up... and pointed the gunman at the guy behind the Popeye’s counter:

What was the whole question?
It's not a baseball analogy.
And Carson isn't qualified to be President. Obama's qualifications were only marginally better and conservatives nailed him to the wall on that issue.
Who is qualified to be President?
“Apparently the media takes a huge role in selecting our leaders”
That’s an understatement. All of my information on the politicians comes via the media.
Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has suggested that President Barack Obama is not a “real black president.”
The 84-year-old billionaire said in a tweet late Wednesday that Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson would give the U.S. “a real black president who can properly address the racial divide.”

Technically any US citizen (open to interpretation) over the age of 35.
IMO 99% of the time if you served any time in a federal elected office it should disqualify you.
This was a very dumb thing for him to repeat, even if he said it. Wow. “I believe you want the guy behind the counter.” Really?
