In one of several consecutive Facebook posts, Carson urges his millions of followers to change their Facebook photograph to an image of a hashtag: #IAmAChristian. The other Facebook photograph shows Carson holding up a piece of paper with the words “I am a Christian” written on it.
What amazes me about liberal idiots is how the notion that one “BELIEVES IN” certain scientific theories. “Belief” is a act of faith, Science is a matter of provable fact; as in the scientific method.
It you say you “believe in global warming”, you are by definition acknowledging that it is a matter of faith.
And further, Evolution has always been an unproven THEORY my whole life; where did I miss when these liberal ingrates suddenly have decided that that theory is now magically fact? Did Lucy have an actual Non-Hoax sister that I missed…?
I'd posit that this is an extremely important question. I'm not going to debate the question itself, as it has been debated ad nauseum on the Free Republic, but I will submit that what position you take on this question shapes your view of the world - and where you fit.
What is your worldview if you believe the Earth is less than ten thousand years old (as the majority of the West believed prior to the twentieth century)?
What is your worldview if you believe the Earth is 4.6 Billion years old?
One viewpoint puts it plain before your face that this Creation was not a happenstance occurrence, and that God is very active and attentive. And perhaps coming back very soon (Like HE said HE would). I.e., we are in double-overtime and the time to get one's act together to face eternity is now.
The other viewpoint tilts towards atheism, or at least to a god who might be dozing off at times. It promotes the idea that your existence is a random event, and also supports the idea of 'master races'. It leads one to the conclusions that judgment (if there is one) is very far off...
It is a very important question to consider - albeit not necessarily one to address during "The View" where you are dealing with harpies with minds like a 'steel trap' (slammed shut, and closed hard).

There is no candidate that is good enough so we should just abandon all hope and by-pass elections and give it to the dems.
Every FReeper has their favorite candidate and simply refuses to support/vote for the ‘unclean.’
So, I repeat myself, I am with you, let's just concede the election right now because we don't have a candidate running that is better than hitlery, Mad Bernie or crazy Uncle Joe. . .except for the one candidate I have and everyone else is not worthy of my vote so unless my candidate is the chosen one, I am staying home and pouting.

I couldn’t agree more with your statement.
The answer to the question forms the foundation of belief (world view) and therefore all subsequent information is interpreted based on those preconceptions or presuppositions.
The question is simple, it is binary. It is either “true or False”, and everything anybody believes has it’s foundation on the answer.
There is no escaping this.
The words “epic” and “the view” don’t belong together in the same sentence.
