This from the economy that brought us, massive copyright infringement, fake goods, melanine in food, etc. etc.
Consider this a form of tort reform. . .

Yeah, another generation or two with the uniparty in power and I can see that here as well.

When there are 1,376,049,000 in the country, who gets upset about 1?

I guess they view it like hunters do prey.
If Chinese could freely bear arms I bet this would stop in a New York minute.

Consider it vehicular euthanasia. It’s kinder and gentler.

From the article:
Most people agree that the hit-to-kill phenomenon stems at least in part from perverse laws on victim compensation. In China the compensation for killing a victim in a traffic accident is relatively smallamounts typically range from $30,000 to $50,000and once payment is made, the matter is over. By contrast, paying for lifetime care for a disabled survivor can run into the millions. The Chinese press recently described how one disabled man received about $400,000 for the first 23 years of his care. Drivers who decide to hit-and-kill do so because killing is far more economical. Indeed, Zhao Xiao Chengthe man caught on a security camera video driving over a grandmother five timesended up paying only about $70,000 in compensation.

Chinese vacations are never a good idea. After you come back two weeks later you want to go again.

Already is. Libs have been doing it for years with rape, bad drug deals and even identically with car accidents.

“and no more Chinese buffets.”
I tend to go through a Chinese buffet two or three times until I’ve killed it, definitely cheaper than ordering all that food off the regular menu.

I guess this points up one virtue of insurance policies.
Still, don’t they count this as murder even in China? Which can get you ignominiously shot and your family billed for the bullet?

I read stories like this and my only thought is there will be a wholesale adoption of Christianity by the Chinese people within a generation.
