The National Hurricane Center forecast track has this going nowhere near NC. We are truly a nation of frightened wimps.

Splash damage?
That means nothing.
The storm is going to do what it’s going to do and it’s foolishness to not be prepared.
My first degree is in meteorology, Writing that, I was predicting the track would swing east and I have been shaking my head reading the predictions of the end of the World by supposed weathermen and the press. I have been reading about historic rainfall amounts and how everything was going to fall apart.
I am sick and tired of the new breed of weathermen (I refuse to call them meteorologists, as they are not)who play Chicken Little so they can get notoriety and allow themselves to be used by the worthless, uneducated, leftist press.
They're saying another 6" of rain this weekend - not sure if it's hurricane related or not. That'll make things problematic, especially in the mountains.
But, I don't disagree with you that we're a nation of frightened wimps. I'll gas up the cars today, we already have plenty of food and water socked away. We'll just hunker down for the weekend, and that'll be that. Not too much to get excited about.
Well, a couple days ago, it was predicted to hit DC, but Satan is steering it out to sea instead.
