Forget the 26-year-old zero who murdered 10 innocents at Umpqua Community College on Thursday morning.
The Chris to remember is 30-year-old Chris Mintz, the student and Army vet who was shot at least five times while charging straight at the gunman in an effort to save others.
Mintz did so on the sixth birthday of his son, Tyrik.

As we remember the dead - we need to remember the horrific injuries that some of the many wounded may never recover from. Prayers for Mintz that he will soon be back on his feet.

It’s a Story of The Two Chris’s. There is Chris H. Mercer; Killer, Loser, Untreated Mental Patient, known to idolize Murderers, Wannabe-Warlock-Apprentice and there’s Chris Mintz, Loving Father, Selfless Hero, & an American Christian. Mirror images in more ways than one.
I’m not seeing how the article is too bad. Unless you think it brings up the death in the war(s) too much. But I see it as Mintz being a patriotic American, honoring his fellow soldiers, and protecting Americans even today.

The article pushes gun control, from the opening paragraph to the closing paragraph. And they obviously vastly exaggerate the number of school shootings.
Which one will BLM honor?
Just like the passengers on flight 93 fought back, you’re better off charging the shooter even if you’re unarmed.
If you mean Black Lives Matter, I think we already know the answer to that question. They are part of the Victim Industry, for which no actual solutions are sought, believed or accepted. This fellow was writing all manner of nutty stuff online for a while.
I forgot to mention his intense idolatry of Nazi paraphinalia. Yes! One problem for any family member who lives with someone like this is , if that person is legally an adult, you cannot make them show you their blogging rants, enemy lists or lists of favorite contacts if they don’t want to. It is possible his mother did not know just how sick he had become. He knew not to mess up his free rent situation.
There was an earlier report by a teacher, saying how she had an army vet that helped her get a couple of classrooms of students out of the building. Then he went back in and she hadn’t seen him since. I’m guessing Chris Mintz is the same guy.
My son goes to school at SPU in Seattle where a nutcase came into a building with a shotgun this past spring and killed one student. Another student, Jon Meiss, pepper-sprayed the shooter and then tackled him and held him - and then others joined in holding him down.
One man CAN make a difference.
