The children’s author known as Lemony Snicket says he’s donating $1 million to Planned Parenthood.
Daniel Handler made the announcement this week on his Twitter feed, @DanielHandler. He notes the donation to the women’s health care provider is on behalf of him and his wife, illustrator Lisa Brown.
He says they’ve been very fortunate and “good fortune should be shared with noble causes.”

His stories focus on the evils that befall children. Getting chopped up for spare parts is just one such evil, I suppose.

If Planned Parenthood spent its time counseling youth about respecting themselves and their bodies, encouraging them to have personal responsibility and avoiding complicating their lives with casual sexual relationships, and avoiding getting pregnant in the first place until they are ready for a child - instead of advocating for abortion, then maybe it would be a ‘noble cause’.

Two of the books his wife has illustrated, “Picture The Dead” and “Vampire Boys Good Night”.
They really do love death and darkness with all their heart and soul. Someday they will see the error of their ways, but most likely after it’s too late.
I’ve always wondered about the time God gave His people a choice (Dueteronomy 30:19) “...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life...” How could anyone choose death? Yet here are parents choosing death for their house...rejecting blessing and taking cursing. And they are so proud of their noble deed!!

We have 3 year old twins. I will ensure that they never are exposed to this guy’s works, at least not in any manner that causes him to get money he can spend funding murder.
Some of his weird books have been turned into movies.
Odd for an author not to know what the word "noble" means.
