With John Boehner now departing as House speaker, an influential Republican Party official is now seeking the ouster of another GOP leader who has frustrated conservatives: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
McConnell needs to resign!! Louisiana GOP Chairman Roger Villere wrote in a Facebook posting.
Mr. Villere isnt just any Republican. Hes the longest-serving state GOP chairman in the nation, with 12 years on the job, and is the vice chairman of the Republican National Committee, the GOPs national governing body. He also serves on the RNCs executive committee that makes decisions alongside Chairman Reince Priebus.
.........
Mr. Villere did say what specifically about Mr. McConnell makes his states rank-and-file GOP voters so dyspeptic that they want him out as leader his failure to challenge executive overreach by President Obama or fight to repeal Obamacare and other unpopular measures.
Mr. McConnell could have suspended consideration of confirmations for all presidential appointees, except for those who are essential to national security, until the president rescinded his unconstitutional executive action on amnesty, Mr. Villere said.
This would have been a constitutionally appropriate response to the overreach of the executive branch, he said. It would have transformed the political environment, greatly encouraged Republican donors and grass-roots activists, and positioned us to refuse to confirm replacements for any Supreme Court openings that might occur during the remainder of the Obama administration..........

I was thinking of calling my senators and telling them they need to start supporting Cruz. I just do not know if it will make any difference.
Why not? He’s been AT LEAST as ineffective as Bonehead.
I LIKE THIS TOPIC. :-)
If so, oh happy day.
I think that is a good idea. I might do that myself.
Should be “Being pushed to resign”. Headline makes it sound like it’s a done deal. Talk about a letdown.
If the party won’t get rid of the backstabbing Mitch, many will conclude that voting for the GOP in 2016 is an exercise in futility. As long as the Turtle remains in his position nothing will get done that advances conservative interests.
So who would be next in line?
McStain = No
Graham = No
etc., etc., etc....
McConnell is having trouble understanding , someone get a First Grader
By who? All those Tea Party Senators? Now how many are there?
I guess that I should call Cornyn?
Which is exactly what the GOPe wants. They don't care if they lose, as they are perfectly fine with cutting deals with the Democrats so the GOPe can make themselves feel important while not having the responsibility of actually running things.
Heck, I would suspend all presidential travel, until the SOB cooperated.
Congress has the purse strings. Turn off the fuel to air force one, marine one and the beast.
Without vacations and trapped with the screaming banshee Obama would either do anything congress wants or press the red button.
Grow some balls Republicans!
Now you’re talking! Ground the bastard!
It couldn’t happen soon enough to a patriot’s liking! The leader is misleading and the writer is day dreaming. The senate is the turtle’s shell. His home, the only one he knows. The only way he will be departing the premises is to burn him out or carry him out on a stretcher (similar to Teddy the Kennedy. The sooner he goes, the faster we might once again have a two party system. Like the Nation’s Founders envisioned —that and the grace of God.
