As polls show Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush slipping, and though his donors may be worried, he’s certainly not, at least visibly.
Speaking to ABC News today, Bush offered an anecdote about a previous GOP candidate whose chances seemed slim.
“This time, eight years ago, John McCain was traveling through the Atlanta airport. I saw him and he had no aide, no person, [he was] by himself because his campaign was supposed to be ended," Bush said of the Arizona senator. “He won the Republican primary that year. This is how the process works; you have to go earn it.”
While Bush’s events are well-attended, they are no match for the likes of fellow candidates Donald Trump and Ben Carson, who have seen their stadium events packed with thousands of people.
“It doesn’t frustrate me at all,” Bush said. "Because I know at the end, the people I’m talking to and listening to are going to be the ones who will decide who the nominee will be and I believe I will be that person.”

I have no doubt Karl Rove, and his ilk, who see themselves as the king makers who pick and choose the GOP nominee are telling him this. I am sure they are telling Jeb not to worry cause the fix is in. The GOPe wants him and, as far as they are concerned, that is all that matters.
Might be the case in a normal year but this year there is a Trump card in the race. This time they have someone who can match them dollar for dollar AND draw more local, or national, media attention then any of their hand picked candidates can generate
Ummm, Jeb!, you do realize the McCain lost the general election, right? You do realize that his campaign is seen as one of the worst and could only have been topped by Romney’s, right?
Therein lies the rub my friends. These idiots in the GOPe believe that obtaining the nomination by rigging the game, and spitting in the faces of the party base will somehow result in a win in the general election.
Hey, voters, vote for me, I hate my base, even more than my democrap opponent does!!! Wow, real winning strategy there.
